I’ve always been a fan of Kiko Alonso. If he can stay healthy he’s going to be a huge contributor for us next year.

That's got to go down as one of the worst FA pickups in recent history. Played minimal games, was a liability in the playoffs. Huge contract, but at least we're getting most of it off the books. Ugh.

Unfortunately that counts as one of a list of bad draft moves the Niners have made. Good riddance to Kwon and that Hot Boyzz crap he brought over here - that's a Southern thing, we don't use that here in the Bay Area. If you look at Lynch's moves on day 1 and day 2, they are not very good (assuming Round 1 is Day 1 and Rounds 2-3 are day 2):

2017: Solomon Thomas, Reuben Foster, Ahkello Witherspoon, CJ Beathard
2018: Mike McGlinchey, Dante Pettis, Fred Warner, Tarvarius Moore (Warner is a stud, book is still out on Moore)
2019: Nick Bosa, Deebo Samuel, Jalen Hurd (Bosa is awesome, Hurd is on track to be a bust, and Deebo is solid but we passed on Metcalf?)
2020: Javon Kinlaw and Brandon Aiyuk

Greenlaw, of course, is a revelation as a 5th rounder last year, but of course, I left out Joe Williams (2017, 4th round), and Wishnowsky (2019, 4th round). I don't know, props to the Shanalynch group in improving the talent on this team the last 3 years, but damn, they deserve blame for the number of misses as well.

Kiko won't be here long. Niners needed to dump Kwon's salary, and with the possibility of dumping Garropolo's salary with the likely scenario of a shrinking salary cap next year, it looks like the Niners will have some $ to play with. Factor in Dee Ford who is another miss on Lynch's resume.

I honestly don't know what the hype is surrounding him. I follow both the PAC 12 and the SEC. Dante played in a conference that particularly weak defenses that year. He was pretty fail and did have issues with health back then. I'm hoping the Niners start thinking about getting a big, strong receiver in the mold of, oh I don't know, Julio Jones? They had a chance at DK, but passed him up for Deebo. Frankly I'm surprised as some of the mocks had the Niners even picking Metcalf then.

Only watched the first half against the Saints.

But Chronicle has headline that Kinlaw made a "breakthrough."

He got his first sack. Anything else?

Headline also said new role for Aiyuk.

Baldy did a breakdown on twitter. Kinlaw had some nice plays, both rushing the passer and against the run. Though PFF gave him quite low marks. I didn't really focus on him enough to have a strong sense.
