GM 6 Caruso was everything Bradley was for us and a lot more.
How we use Caruso going forward may really come down to who we pickup this offseeason... If we can upgrade Danny Green to a guy who can score in buckets, but maybe isn't that stellar on defense, maybe we start Caruso...
If we get a solid 3 and D guy who's more of a D and 3 guy, then maybe we need a more offensive minded PG too...
The thing is, I have no problem with any aspect of Caruso's game this season, other than his 3pt shooting... If he can get up a ton of shots this fall, and comes back at least making the shots Rondo was making for us, he's our clear starting PG.
I would love to get a guy who could take the ball out of LeBron's hands a bit more in the half court, but I think you live with LeBron's dribble-time-waste offense, and start Caruso if he can just shoot a damn 3 pointer... He'll definitely get his chances.

I hope we give Kostas and THT a shot, would be nice to see more success stories similar to Caruso.

I think you can book that, actually. I’m convinced both will be starters in the NBA. THT will be an impact guard, is a winner. Kostas? I literally see no ceiling to how good he can be. And, learning how to play the right way under the watchful eye of people like LeBron, Rondo, AD, Howard, Vogel, Kidd etc will only serve them right.
They’ll be solid for us this season, and I’d count their minutes into the rotation from day one.
I think that’s what Pelinka is planning around.

Yet he is flat out outplaying guys he has no business outplaying. Not only the guards on our own team, but De'Aaron Fox, George Hill, Ricky Rubio...
What is going on?
He is a straight up baller. Zero fear. Great leadership. Can shoot, score, finish, pass, defend, rebound, and hustle. Great vision, touch, feel for the game. He does a lot of the little things and a lot of the big things. With remarkable consistency.
The Lakers have been talking about position-less basketball, and Caruso embodies that kind of player, more than anybody else on the team. He makes his teammates better. He's unselfish. He's a competitor. He plays to win. There's a little nastiness to him too.
I love watching this kid play. He's just flat out balling, and I'm really surprised people aren't talking about him more. He's a steal. To me, he embodies what Laker basketball should be about, especially under Luke Walton.
He plays beautiful basketball. He just keeps surprising me with how much game he has. He's got the right stuff. Of what I've seen so far this season, there are only three players who really get it. Lonzo, Kuzma, and Caruso. Everybody else is behind the curve. Complacent, selfish, immature. Ordinary.
To become a championship team, you have to be special.
This kid is special.
On point 3 years later except for the vision and passing.

Wouldn't it be something if we peer into the future and see that the Lakers had retired his number.
