So that old woman in NV who said her ballot got stolen in front of cameras at the press conference then her story gets investigated by the election officials. They confirm a match on the signatures and offer her an opportunity to sign a statement challenging her ballot's signature and she declines.

The story now is she 'forgot' it? I guess that it is plausible enough for someone to forget they filled out, signed and delivered their ballot. Yet, the investigation and conclusion of no fraud gets ignored while the press conference accusation continues on feeding the bogus belief of fraud.

Although, if she did try to vote in person after she submitted a mail in ballot wouldn't the 'fraud' if it was committed it was by her? Maybe that's why she told them she 'forgot' about the original ballot because otherwise it would be her who had done the fraud. Just my speculative thoughts.

The GOP sure knows how to manipulate it's blind faith supporters to ignore facts and instead believe the unfounded conspiracy theories. Just repeat a lie enough times it becomes truth to those who are predisposed to believe whatever you say.

Biden would first have to win (looks likely)

Perdue would have to stay below 50% (he is at 49.997%) like literally a few votes under 50% (toss up)

Then there would be two runoff senate seats in GA where the dems would have to win both run-offs to gain a tie in the senate with then the VP would be the tiebreaker.

Is it likely? no

Is it a possibility? Absolutely.

It's seems pretty likely perdue will be under 50%. But given that he had more votes this time, and trump won't be on the ballot next time the turnout would probably a lot different so I think it would benefit him

Yup and my guess James got hurt by Trump in Michigan too (trump lost by 3pts in MI and James on the same line lost by only 1.5 pts). That libertarian vote might be a deciding factor in GA to not get Perdue in and I think a lot of them rightfully despise trump...so if he's off the ballet I would assume that would help those senate races. But only time will tell.

My point wasn’t built around any policy whatsoever. It was about democratic electoral strategies costing them votes with people of color; losing congressional seats and losing state legislative seats in a year with a historically unpopular president.

The mistakes I singled out were:
- Failures in outreach to people of color, specifying Latino voters since I watched that closely (also rachel bitcofer co-signed Chuck Rocha on this missed opportunity both before and after the election results started pouring in).

- No ground work, literally. Democrats across the spectrum of policy views were telling the Biden campaign that they needed to put canvassers out in battleground states.

- Refusing to pick a stance on key issues. Key here is I don’t think it much matters which direction he’d have gone on the policy; but by being unclear he allowed bad faith actors to fill in the blank and convince some voters not to break his way.

The idea that no voters for Trump were reachable is patently ridiculous to me, at least from the perspective of a person from a Spanish community that knows some trump voters. Chuck Rocha had a good interview with zerlina maxwell where he explained trump’s success in FL.

“Well we beat trump” isn’t enough when the Supreme Court is stacked and Mitch McConnell has a strong chance to continue deciding what legislation gets voted on. It’s not stopping the state legislatures that moved further right. None of that is policy based; it’s just a continuation of failures that we’ve seen at least throughout my lifetime. Way too many Dems only care about holding the executive branch and it shows throughout the judicial and legislative branch being dominated by conservatives.

I don't disagree on critiques 1 and 2.

On 3, I feel a little "meh" about.

If you judge Trump solely on policy or are open to Trump despite his conduct, I think your moral compass is broken at best and you are a racist at worst. The middle of that is that you are ignorant.

I don't know how much you can appeal to those people without compromising yourself as a candidate. A candidate that looks like he's going to win by 4M+ votes

I am done with underestimating how many chitty Americans there are. This country is full of creeps.

My instinct on that could also be way off because Trump also drove a high turnout to the polls and if he is defeated they may not get the same enthusiasm either.
