I’ll fully co-sign that this is a country full of creeps
My thing is that the Democratic party’s strategy has all too often wasted resources on trying to appease the creeps at the expense of trying to build new voting blocs or strengthen existing and growing voter blocs.
I'm completely in agreement with you. And my agreement remains congruent with my take on this election, i.e. we weren't going to get enough of those Trump voters with other strategies this time. At least, not enough to move the needle in Senate races like IA and ME. IOW, I'm not sure strategy would have cleared the bar for a Senate majority anyway and this is because the record vote was on both sides. Republicans did vote in bigger numbers than before. The divide is so hardened now, more so than any time in our lifetimes, that, yeah, it will be necessary to cultivate the next group of new voters until you can outvote them every single time. That's the only way you're going to progress liberal candidates up the the food chain from local to national prominence.
P.S. Like GONYK, I don't think taking a stand on SCOTUS would have been a good idea. Saying he'd pack the courts would have lost more votes IMO.
