Whispers are already talking about replacing Pelosi with Hakeem which would be weird given he's one of her lieutenants and his endorsement means Jack **** in these races

There isn't a big enough Progressive caucus to do that. Especially since a lot in the House apparently want to be less Progressive and Nancy said this, basically sticking up for them:

Biden would first have to win (looks likely)

Perdue would have to stay below 50% (he is at 49.997%) like literally a few votes under 50% (toss up)

Then there would be two runoff senate seats in GA where the dems would have to win both run-offs to gain a tie in the senate with then the VP would be the tiebreaker.

Is it likely? no

Is it a possibility? Absolutely.

It's seems pretty likely perdue will be under 50%. But given that he had more votes this time, and trump won't be on the ballot next time the turnout would probably a lot different so I think it would benefit him

I will be voting for Ossoff and the big W

Based on what legal precedent?

There are several issues. At this point I have no way of knowing if they are smoke or real and no time to check into the details so I'm not bothering to link anything or talk about them. Waiting to see how things develop.

So you agree that all the ballots need to be counted.

Yes, looks like the biggest race of the next two years will be GA this January. If there will ever be a get out the vote moment for the black community this is it. It is a golden opportunity to open 2021 with control of the Senate

Everybody who claims illegal ballots would be counted somewhere, like Grenell did today, should be prosecuted. Let's see where they get that from. It's criminal imo.

I don't disagree on critiques 1 and 2.

On 3, I feel a little "meh" about.

If you judge Trump solely on policy or are open to Trump despite his conduct, I think your moral compass is broken at best and you are a racist at worst. The middle of that is that you are ignorant.

I don't know how much you can appeal to those people without compromising yourself as a candidate. A candidate that looks like he's going to win by 4M+ votes

It's not a policy critique, it's a messaging critique. I don't think Biden's campaign taking a firm stance on those issues would be about appealing to anybody but cutting down on the negative partisanship impact.

The Biden tact was basically "by not committing to court stacking we can avoid angering the Republican voter, but we won't piss off the left independent voters either by leaving the door open a crack."

But I think the result actually allowed both of those groups to assume the worst (aided along by bad faith commentary heavily). Had he picked a side, one of the bad faith angles would be a much harder sell.

I'm just posting here to remind myself to save this conversation for sometime in December. I want to see the entirety of all races and results to produce a full post mortem. Then we can have a comprehensive conversation. But Remi makes great points and we'll expand on this further.

But the one unanimous thing we can all agree on is that the Florida Democratic Party must be abolished ASAP.

FL GOP was umbilically connected to this White House

Dem party identity over the next 4 years will be interesting

I’ve listened to a lot of interviews with Trump supporters, swing voters whatever the **** you want to call them and it’s blatantly obvious that a huge reason for Trump’s success was that Republicans were able to make Democrats the Party of AOC, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren, Biden. These aren’t some dumb yokels either, but the propaganda was successful. This is not about policy anymore, it’s about emotions and partisanship. You can’t blame Progressives for losing House seats that they didn’t run in, but Democrats need to figure out a national platform quick that appeals to everyone and let candidates adapt to the states they’re in or they’ll continue to bleed support in red/purple states.

How can one party be both the party of AOC and Biden?

I’ll fully co-sign that this is a country full of creeps

My thing is that the Democratic party’s strategy has all too often wasted resources on trying to appease the creeps at the expense of trying to build new voting blocs or strengthen existing and growing voter blocs.

I'm completely in agreement with you. And my agreement remains congruent with my take on this election, i.e. we weren't going to get enough of those Trump voters with other strategies this time. At least, not enough to move the needle in Senate races like IA and ME. IOW, I'm not sure strategy would have cleared the bar for a Senate majority anyway and this is because the record vote was on both sides. Republicans did vote in bigger numbers than before. The divide is so hardened now, more so than any time in our lifetimes, that, yeah, it will be necessary to cultivate the next group of new voters until you can outvote them every single time. That's the only way you're going to progress liberal candidates up the the food chain from local to national prominence.

P.S. Like GONYK, I don't think taking a stand on SCOTUS would have been a good idea. Saying he'd pack the courts would have lost more votes IMO.
