With that FUgly contract, unless he gets a buyout, he is OKC bound again.

Milwaukee could really use him, but matching 40 mil in salary is pretty impossible

Lakers seems extremely unlikely due to his current contract situation. CP3 will likely join Lebron in LA though in 2 or 3 seasons when he’s a free agent imo unless he finds himself in a favorable franchise next season

Yea I actually tried this one out and surprisingly it works.

MIL: CP3
OKC: Ersan Ilyasova(7M T/O), Robin Lopez(PO), Eric Bledsoe, D.J. Wilson, D.J. Wilson, future 1st(earliest they can offer is 2024 due to owing a 2022 1st to CLE)

Presti wouldn't have a problem I'd assume as he'd be doing Chris a favour plus the Thunder would be under the tax going into next year and Bledsoe's last year is only guaranteed for 3.9M.

Bucks show Giannis they ain't playing around and they get to keep George Hill to run the 2nd unit.

whoops! That was a blunder. Thanks for noticing.

Either way, it surprisingly works out. If OKC wants a future 2nd or 2 to make the deal palatable, it works out very well for both parties and the Bucks keep their 1st for this year to use to add to their depth.

Can a small market team like the Bucks handle giving 40+ million to an aging OT-hill Star? That would mean tying up over 100 million on 3 players.

I added up their cap situation and yea that would be very brutal. Unfortunately, the Bucks' options are somewhat limited and they have to do everything in their power to show Giannis that they aren't playing around and are serious about building a contender and being willing to pay the tax in order to win the title. If he leaves, the Bucks' value will go down the tank and that's the real nightmare right there.

They should really consider playing Giannis at the 5 as he'd be a problem for other bigs and CP3 would get him and the team better looks as a 3rd/4th option. Hopefully Giannis comes back and develops a midrange shot and his FT% goes back to 75%.

Bucks need to go all in to try and entice Giannis to stay. If it doesn't work, Giannis leaves and you free up 30 mil anyway

CP could really move the needle for that squad (any squad really)

Heat? Lakers? Bucks?

What do you guys think?

He'd fit right back in the Big Easy... it'd be a homecoming of sorts!

CP3 would have the best fit on the Lakers.

It should definitely be the Lakers.

If he wants to win a title (his time is running out) he should force his way to L.A.

WUT

You know that it was Harden and Fertitta that made Morey make the Westbrook trade - right? There are too many stories and sources that back this up.

I guess that CP3 also despises Doc, too - right? After all, that is why Paul asked Doc to speak to the players in the bubble when they were going to strike...because Paul HATES Doc.

Question - why the f would Presti agree to a buyout when he can trade him and get assets?

Why would Chris Paul give up the money? People act like Chris Paul won't play until he's 40. He can always go the Gary Payton route to get a ring, Payton was a perfect fit in Miami off the bench.

You know that's not how it works. If he screws over CP3, that can have consequences down the line. CP3 has serious power in the league. Luckily for him, only contenders would want to trade for him anyway, so he'll have no chance to do him bad.

Sending Blake home in exchange for CP3 almost works for this Pistons fan.
