On offense he is a lob threat, do the hand off pass very well, good on the pick and roll, jumpshot is decent, good rebounder, high motor, does not take any plays off, runs the floor like a gazelle, outrun guards regularly, he can handle and drive a little, has a nice floater, decent post move, good at putbacks...

I dont think we can pass on his defensive potential, and he can do more than other bigs on offense. I invite you to watch his games...

We can do better than a defensive specialist at 20.

Looks like a weak draft, we would be lucky to land a good specialist with a long nba carreer at #20

We could easily draft a 3&D prospect at 20. Last year, Clarke and Thybulle went in the early 20s.

Look at these kids. Bunch of quality shooters.

Love the free throw attempt rates by Riller and IQ.

Look at Malachi leading EVERY single advanced stat. Wow.

Vernon really stands out in advanced stats.

He and Zeke with very high FTA rates. Could really turn a game with one of these bigs and Quickley or Riller spending time at the line.

My limited impression of Carey is that he's a lumbering big.

I'd rather take a chance and sign Jahlil Okafor on the cheap if the idea is to add scoring in the post and pick n roll opportunities than to spend the 20th pick on Carey.

Never liked Okafor. Cringed when Philly took him. Would much rather have Carey regardless of the situation. Heck, Carey might go 2nd round. I think we are looking at defenders who are a bit more diverse in how many guys they can guard though.

Love the "Heat don't draft for need" angle. Get ready for a wing boys and girls!

Are you guys on board with trading the 20th pick (along with Olynyk and/or Iguodala) to get LaMarcus Aldridge or would you prefer to draft Zeke Nnaji at 20 and keep Iggy and KO?

I would keep the 20 and rather do a mid season trade with those 2 mid size contracts before I trade for Aldridge. Aldridge was Aldridge 5 years ago. I say stock up on as many young players with potential in case we need to include them in any sign and trade in 2021 or beyond. Aldridge is not the missing piece to win the ring so let's move on from it.

100% Nnaji for me. LMA doesn't really excite me. Drafting another Wildcat would.

I agree. Your point on having trade assets also rings true. At minimum, we can train these boys up to include in a deal down the road.

I can dig it. Hes a good post defender, rebounder and scorer.

Love the focus on bigs. A handful make sense for us.

I'm open minded about the process. I never get my guy anyway. Id be happy with several players.

I will take it.

DD123 is a draft boarder that I tend to agree with in most cases. Many posters stand out on the draft forum for the wrong reasons, but not DD123.

Its funny how GMs are saying they do not rate Melo Ball very high but the media wants to so bad because of the followers the Ball family have.
