Good news for Terps hoops - Jairus Hamilton is eligible for this season - not that he's great, but they need him to be competitive.

That was the first hair stand up on the back of the neck, exciting DC sporting event since COVID started. Well done Terps.

You can't define a team by their first game. Minnesota was a very good team last season, but they had some key losses defensively. They were awful against Michigan, who did nothing offensively against Michigan State today. Maryland couldn't do much offensively against NW, though Tualia's three picks didn't help. But yesterday, the gameplan was brilliant. Short passes to get him going. Get rid of the ball quickly. Eliminate the low-percentage bombs and take what the defense gives you. I didn't know he could run as well as he did. Amazing win as a 20-point home dog.

Negatives: They are going to need to score a lot of points this season. The defense is young and has a few injuries. Corners seem to be in the right position, but they can't make plays in the air. Penn State at 0-2. They have a legit defense and a pretty good quarterback. Will be a tough test. Hopefully they have revenge on their minds from last year's ass-kicking.

I went to school with Locks. I'm all for him, but some very strange calls including not taking a Hail Mary at the end of regulation when you have some big receivers. End of the half running the clock down to miss a 51-yard field goal was odd, but I guess makes sense knowing that they couldn't stop Minnesota. Finally did have some stops in the second half as Terps played the run better and Gophers got conservative. Watching Ohio State now and not sure how any team will be within three touchdowns of them until they face Wisconsin in over a month. Terps have to play the Buckeyes in two weeks.

Not sure why it took so long because about 95% of transfers are getting waivers this season. He fits in well. They need help up front as Donta Scott is more of 3/4 and he's a 4/5. Good rebounder. Very athletic. Not really a stretch four, but could play some five in small lineups.

Yeah, I think Rak is going to accumulate a few more awards each year. He's gonna need a big room to hold them all. https://umterps.com/sports/football/roster/rakim-jarrett/8949
