Myers Leanord seems like a good fit.

It's really hard for me looking at it as a GM to trade for a Center that isn't at least all-star level when you can get 2 of these guys for free.

Myers seems like a better version than Kanter in a trio of Myers, Theis, TimeLord.

Myers is as strong as Kanter, but hits 3s at a 40% clip. So he is a perfect player to have when you come across a Phil, or when you need to size up against a MIL. Then you have Theis as your starter who is good in general and can do switches. And you have Rob Williams that if he learns how to play NBA defense should at least be a great atheltic shot blocking lob threat... if not then you fall back down to the pathetic level of Grant Williams as your Center.

It just seems like the smart move given this market is to grab 2 of these 3 rejects and let them battle it out with TimeLord and Grant and let the best matchup option win for that given game.

Spend your assets acquiring another stud guard or wing that if they are one they make these kind of roleplay bigs studs.

I was big on drafting him nothing is panning out the way I thought, but maybe a change of coaching does something to jar him loose. I'd personally like him over kanter but I'm am harsh on him alot.

Damn even in his high school mixtapes he's wearing a knee brace like you'd see on an NFL offensive lineman. Imagine being the coach and letting him play with that thing on his leg.

We need a big who can shoot at least as well as this.

I like Kyle O'Quinn. Superb rebounder, good passer and shot blocker.

We'd need the MLE for him. Right?

This part of the article stood out to me:

“That’s why you’ve got to lean on people you trust. For me, it’s my agent, and I know that’s the business side of basketball. I’ve been through it too many times to tie anything emotional to it, as much as you want to. You do have these connections throughout basketball and throughout the teams you’ve played for and where you’ve gone and also the outlook for your family. Everything weighs in to it.

My concern is his age and his injury history, coupled with the money he may command this offseason.

I love Baynes, but gut reaction is non tax MLE is too much for him.

Baynes was a nice player when he was in Boston. Nice glue guy. Contribute on the court. But he didn't set the world on fire. 6 points, 5 rebounds in 17 minutes of playing time. I'd like something a little more than that if possible.

Yeah I like the idea of a bargain big but none of the players mentioned really interest me.

OQuinn maybe. Of course if we can get Baynes back in town I’m down that would be nice.

We do - just not sure which yet, depending on Hayward and where we end up with the tax. Tax-paying teams get around $6M MLE to spend, non-tax is around $10M.

Knicks declined the team option on Bobby Portis so add crazy eyes to the list.
