The fact that you think they are similar is sad.

Draft:
#1 Wolves: Wiseman
#2 Wolves: Edwards
#3 Hornets: Okongwu (no way they take Ball)
#4 Wolves: Ball

Wolves:
Wiseman
Thad or Johnson | Spellman | Vanderbilt
Culver
Edwards | Okogie
Ball

Wolves should do this in draft that is stronger at the top like 2022.

The trade scenario was a joke at getting Wolves all 3 involved in the poll. Just note, most years this wouldn’t be possible due to the higher perceived value of the top picks. And I think very rare a team like Warriors (and Wolves) sit in top spot looking for trade out scenarios. 2022 most likely won’t have that. If it were to remotely happen, 2020 is kind of strike when iron is hot and opportunity presents itself.

ESPN's latest mock has us taking Ball & Bey...I guess I wouldn't be mad at the potential of drafting those two

Klutch really did their client Anthony Edwards a disservice by showing his pro day; he looked SO bad. Bricking wide open jumpers, walking to his spots to "workout"..it gave me chills of reliving Andrew Wiggins again..I actually want no part of him. Really hope we trade out of the 1st pick and get value if we want someone in this draft outside of Ball/Wiseman

1 • MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES
LAMELO BALL
G • ILLAWARRA • AGE 19.2

The draft's best playmaker at 6-foot-7, Ball is the most talented prospect in this class and a true entertainer on the floor with remarkable vision, handle and touch. Despite defensive concerns alongside D'Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns, Ball would electrify the Minnesota fan base and give the Timberwolves one of the league's most skilled 25-and-under trios. - SCHMITZ

17 • MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES
SADDIQ BEY
F • VILLANOVA • AGE 21.5

After taking a swing at the top with Ball, the Wolves could use some stability with this pick. Bey brings ideal defensive versatility, a career 41.8% 3-point rate and a solid feel for the game. A young core of Ball, Russell, Towns, Bey, Jarrett Culver, Josh Okogie and Malik Beasley (who is a restricted free agent this offseason) offers a nice blend of offensive firepower and defensive flexibility. - SCHMITZ

The phones are starting to ring more and more as the NBA Draft approaches, and everyone in the league is trying to figure out what the Minnesota Timberwolves are going to do at the top.

With one week to go, league sources have started to speculate that the Wolves have landed on LaMelo Ball as the choice with the No. 1 overall pick. This comes after indications earlier in the pre-draft process that Anthony Edwards was the preferred prospect. With little to go on as far as draft history for this configuration of the Timberwolves front office, there is a considerable mystery surrounding which way the group wants to go.

That’s just the way that president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas wants it.

“Everybody’s trying to guess where we’re going,” Rosas told The Athletic, “and that’s fine.”

This is 100% true. Everyone knows the biggest red flag about Edwards is his motor and questions about how hard he’ll work. They had eight months to get him in the best shape of his life and perfect that scripted workout with him hustling and working hard for thirty minutes.

Instead, he looked in horrible shape, seriously fatigued halfway through. Was walking from spot to spot. And just looked bad.

Workouts aren’t a big deal in scouting, unless they just confirm red flags you had about a player heading into the workout.

If I were betting, I still think we’re trading the pick as long as we get a decent offer. If we truly had settled on someone, no need for the continued smoke screens.

Who owns first pick, controls this draft. More smoke, less control for other teams. Not surprised that MIN tries to create smoke.

I don't see Toppin getting past Cleveland at No. 5.

Are Haliburton, Okoro and Toppin prospects the Wolves are looking to trade down or up to?

Or you could just a sign a Nerlens Noel type.

The fact that you think they are similar is sad.

They're not of the same archetype?

Wouldn't signing Noel do more to help us win in the immediate future than Wiseman?

For starters, he's 3" shorter, 25 lbs lighter, 7 years older AND he came in the league having to completely rework his jumpshot.

The fact that you think they are similar shows you aren't paying attention. Don't bother replying, your opinion doesn't have any value in this discussion.
