There's something very strange about this photo. The uniform numbers of Doc's Sixer teammates don't correspond to any real-life players on the 1976-77 Philly roster, and he wasn't there yet in the preseason . . .

Can't believe no one posted this yet despite the fact that it's not the coolest in my opinion anyway lol

When I thought of Erving, I thought of a rare overhead pic of the 80 finals layup..

Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Houston Rockets. Not Toronto. Hence James Harden in the background.

Wow, that's one of the dumbest things I've ever said. I'll shut the door as I leave.

This one of Oscar Robertson? It's from college though...

Some of them aren’t even cool without the context and some others are just off in terms of composition.

Like the Jordan vs the Jazz one could well be “the coolest moment taken on picture”, but it doesn’t make it a cool picture. The picture itself is actually “meh” and doesn’t give you emotion without the context.

Yeah I really don't get why people are acting like that Jordan vs the Jazz picture is a great pic. It's an amazing moment, but it's noisy and the first thing I thought when I saw it was "WTF am I supposed to look at?" There's way too much going on in the background. And even then, it's not a particularly dynamic shot and if you just saw it on someone's wall and was not a NBA fan, I don't think the picture would be considered impressive.

Now that MJ photo from the side in the dunk contest where it looks like he's floating? Yeah that's a nice shot.

That's exactly why i love it. So much chaos and in the middle of it all is MJ taking the shot to end all shots.

The wade lebron one is what came to mind. The photo is better than watching the moment in video. It is perfectly composed, wade looks like he is doing the “are you not entertained?” pose. Its exaclty what people hated and loved about the big 3 and it was the first time they had a spectacular moment together.

The rodman one is good too.

The DR J is not even a good DR J moment. The others are meh.

aesthetically speaking (which is all i really care about) there are a ton of photos that look better than wade to lebron. Not even the best heat photo ive seen in this thread.
