Impossible trade from salary perspective
Cam makes $4M , Gordon $18M.
if they pull trigger on Paul trade, witch i would assume would happen before, they would give up Rubio, Oubre, Bridges, kaminsky( just to come close to Paul salary) and absorb rest of Paul's salary over that, and be over cap.
This is even assuming they won't resign Saric, who is RFA , but it's in their best interest that they do, because after CP3 trade they will have no cap flexibility whatsoever.
Worked here?
i don't think it should.
Suns currently have $91M in cap space, exiting Oubre and, Rubio and Cam worth is $35,5M
Gordon and Paul add additional $59,5 M to their books.
So udner contract Suns would have: Booker, Paul, Gordon, Ayton , Bridges, Kaminsky and Ty Jeremo. And they already put them on verge of cap space for 2020-21. ( actually bit over, if my math didn't fail me, it's $110M in books on 7 players).
They could keep Lecque and Okobo, but that's additional $3M in books. If they resign Šarić and Baynes or use MLE, they are probably entering luxury tax.
Also why would oKC flush Paul for 26 years old average player and 30 years old point guard without asking for pick?
They don't need Magic in that trade.
