I’d be so pissed as an OKC fan if they did that trade.

According to Vinfosh, Sixers have a deal in place to send Zhaire and 2 2nds for Derrick White.

I don't believe it, but he did call the Morey hire as PoBo 12 hours before any credible source tweeted it.

He also says Sixers are discussing Tobias for Wiggins, but again, I doubt that.

And he says Sixers may get Huerter in a deal that sends Jrue to Atlanta.

And also Sixers have interest in McLemore.

All of that is great... but looking at his Twitter feed suggests a guy who way more often than not is just throwing darts at a wall.

What do you guys think about this one? Not 100% sure it's legal, but I think even if it's not it can be done using some non-guaranteed signings to tade (like Morey did to get Paul).

Spoiler:
Image

We get Embiid-Harden duo surrounded by solid shooting. No depth whatsoever, but I trust Morey to find 7-9 guys for cheap.
This roster is VERY expensive, but I don't think we can improve without taking some questionable contracts like Hield and Gordon. I guess I hope that Morey and Rivers contracts show that owners are ready to spend.

That leaves us with Harden-Gordon-Hield-Harris-Embiid lineup with Thybulle and Milton of the bench, we would need to find couple 3D guys and backup C for cheap tho.

I'd much rather keep Richardson to pair with Harden than Hield. Value-wise, I think all those picks would be going to Houston rather than Sacramento.

Because they don’t want to pay him while rebuilding.

I would too, but this exchange is part of offloading Horfords contract. I think 21st + two high second rounders + that swap would be enough for Kings to take Al. As for Houston, I don't think we need to add much more, I don't see a lot of teams giving more than Ben + a little cap relief if Harden demands a trade. That said adding one more lotto protected pick from Sixers won't be a deal breaker for me, I guess.

I don't think a 3rd team is necessary in a Ben/Harden swap.

It was needed to offload Horfords contract, and surround Jo and Harden with much better fitting players

I'd make Houston take Horford if we are taking Gordon.

I don't think thats fair value. We need to take that contract to make Ben-Harden swap fair. Even with trade demand Harden has more trade value than Simmons. One could argue we should add one more 1st to Rockets too.

Why? Who's giving them a better piece than Ben Simmons for Harden? It doesn't matter what's fair.

This. I absolutely do NOT agree that "Harden has more trade value than Simmons". The Rockets will NOT get any piece better than Ben Simmons in a James Harden trade. Will not happen.

If Harden wants out, the Rockets will be lucky to get Ben straight up.

Putting together the San Antonio rumors:

Sixers trade / Spurs receive:
SG Josh Richardson
SG Zhaire Smith
2 2nd Round Picks

Spurs trade / Sixers receive:
PG Patty Mills
SG Derrick White

Depending on what the 2nd rounders are, I'm down. Giving up #34 and #36 would be a clear overpay.

White is a guy I targeted as undervalued and having potential to breakout. He could slide right in as a starter in JRich's spot.

Mills obviously is a great fit as a backup PG, who can also play with Ben since he can shoot the lights out.

Derrick White is extremely good. Deal without hesitation. Not both 34&36 though.

Combining that and the Hield/Horford would leave us with a very good, well fitting roster.

I'm not even sure we need to do the Hield/Horford swap at that point especially if we're adding anything significant to it. I think Horford has more value as a backup center and Embiid replacement for the inevitable missed games than the upgrade from Milton to Hield.

Agree. Furthermore I'm not sure if Hield will even be a better player than Milton straight up over the next few years. Milton made a huge jump at age 23, which statistically was much better than Hield's age 24 rookie season. If you compare to Hield last year at age 27, it seems the biggest difference is usage.
