Frank been playing winning basketball kid. Trust me, come in jacking up 20 shots and do fancy crossovers to win over the fans.

Just a bad joke. I am still rooting for Frank to succeed.

Russel Westbrook is a solo act, a side show. Will be the knickiest thing to do. Damn so true. I wish him the best though. Hopefully he’s not another Iverson and Melo.

Westbrook is my favorite player in the league with Curry. Just like Melo was my favorite player after Kobe and Dirk back in the day before he got traded to us.

So my dream scenario is that Brodie comes here, adjusts his game and KILLS it while bringing some much needed attitude alongside RJ.

Unfortunately Russ is just too stubborn and stuck in his ways. The evidence points towards him never adapting.

The suspense is killing me even though I already know the outcome.

It's like I'm biting my nails watching the kitchen scene in Jurassic Park even though I've seen the movie about 50 times.

Nobody but James Dolan can save me. I don't like those odds.

I can agree with that. I just wish the kid had a better approach. Just to be clear, talent wise, I never doubted his abilities.

Mitch only fell in the draft bc people were questioning his mental. He was a top 3 center, #11 in his class, #1 in his state, and a 5 star prospect. Stop trying to chit on my boy Mitch. he is going to be a major problem under Thibs.

Wait I thought we were talking DMitch, lol. I'd NEVER hate on my boy Mitch Robinson. To be honest he would be the last person I'd trade on the team.

Well, that's why he should only be a draft guru. You can't let him out of that box.

I check this page once a day, and every time it’s loading I think to myself “have we traded everything for Westbrook yet?”

But then I see there’s a 23 year old in the draft and think to myself, huh maybe the Knicks won’t trade their picks for the next Carmelo-Marbury after all. Not if we can land the next Jordan Hill or Mike Sweetney to lead us to greatness immediately.

not that you're wrong but it just seems out of whack to have 1 guy making nearly half the salary cap

It's not FUD, it's legitimate concerns, he's a slight PG that isn't really that quick so what exactly happens when he starts putting on more mass? Usually when someone is built like Kira they are exceedingly quick and explosive off the ground, he is neither, he's got great straight line speed but isn't a great athlete. I don't care about advanced stats like that, advanced stats are why Markelle Fultz was the top pick in his draft over Tatum. I ask, what makes him stand out among NBA point guards? How does he project out as a starter on a good team, not what his stats were on a bad Bama team.

I just don't see anything special at all, PG is the deepest position in the league, does he ever even crack the top 10 at that position? Right now, you have all these guys under 25 :

Jamal Murray
DeJounte Murray
Trae Young
De'Aron Fox
JA Morant
SGA
D. Russell

Getting into the top 10 of PGs in the league is going to be extremely difficult. Which is also why I'm just not that high on any of the smaller PGs in this draft outside of Terry. I can understand LaMelo, Haliburton and Hayes because of their size, but these other guys who are all around 6'2"-6'3" that don't have 1 great singular skill, nah man, it's just playing Russian roulette.

well to alleviate some of your fears here is a scout that watched Kira play recently after he added 15 pounds.

Derek Murray, Babcock Hoops director of scouting, recently saw a vastly improved and stronger Lewis scouting trip in Miami.

“Right off the bat, Lewis showed off his dazzling speed. It didn’t matter if he was in an isolation or in the pick-and-roll; he was easily getting around his man for easy lay-ins. He always got downhill quickly, staying on par with his success at Alabama. One of the most noticeable things during the runs, however, was how Lewis absorbed contact in the lane,” Murray said.

With a stronger body, Lewis exudes more confidence on the court attacking the rim.

His burst of speed reminded Pettway of another speedy playmaker — former Kentucky Wildcat and current Sacramento Kings’ lead guard De’Aaron Fox.

“That kind of speed is hard to deal with,” Pettway said. “Based on their finishing, I think De’Aaron is really good at finishing while Kira is a guy who’s crafty who knows how to finish. De’Aaron is probably bigger, longer right now, but Kira shoots better at this stage.”

I disagree and I think Kira's burst will be fine in the halfcourt. but lets your prediction comes true and he is only good at getting in the lane in transition and high pick and rolls. Ty Lawson had short legs and a short wingspan so he couldnt get by guys in the halfcourt he mostly used a pick in the halfcourt. Ty Lawson's numbers were amazing before alcoholism ruined his career. Would you be mad with a Ty Lawson type career pre-alcoholic days?

Fox is explosive while being longer, so I just don't care for those comparisons, because they're really just based on how a guy looks in terms of build. If Kira were as explosive as Fox he wouldn't make it past the Bulls.

Ty Lawson is not a winning type of player, even during his best years the Nuggets were never a good defensive team because of his size and build. You don't win in the playoffs with players like this that can be targeted AND they don't provide next level spacing. When I say winning, I'm strictly talking about the playoffs, almost every argument I make is centered around how guys would look in the future of a playoff matchup.

ok nobody is going to change your mind despite tremendous advanced stats, eye popping explosion. even despite what a scout says. you just assume the worst case scenario. You're just going to look for any possible angle that will support your argument. ok got it. What is your career projection for Kira Lewis jr. just curious here. please Name a former or current NBA player that you see him having a similar career path too.
