Re: Official 2020 NBA Draft Thread
Moving AG and 15 for just a pick also gives us room to move under the tax line. Still need to see Fourniers option.
AG trades have been discused for so long maybe he isnt the value we think as Magic fans.
I am all good with Edwards, Hayes, Deni or Haliburton.

Please don't let it be Devin Vessell. Dude is a 3D player with a low ceiling. It is just not intriguing enough. I'd be contend with Deni, Hayes and Edwards. I am all in on Edwards. Dude has star potential none of the rest have

It would get leaked from the player's side, agent's side or the other teams in negotiations with the Magic. Magic can stay tight lipped but that doesn't mean everyone else isn't talking about it.

Re: Official 2020 NBA Draft Thread
I disagree on 3D projection for Vassell. I truly believe he can be more. He'll flourish off-ball and he'll grow into a really good on-ball player. He has the tools to develop with ball in his hands. High IQ, willing passer, and not afraid of the big shots.MasterGMer wrote:Please don't let it be Devin Vessell. Dude is a 3D player with a low ceiling. It is just not intriguing enough. I haven't even touched the defense.
Vassell is probably the only player I wouldn't mind losing AG for. Not only does he fit the mould but he compliments the other young players perfectly.

Same I think he can be more too. The good thing is that 3D is his floor.
I think we would need a more dynamic scoring 3 than Isaac or Okeke though.

Re: Official 2020 NBA Draft Thread
I feel like we shouldn't be shopping our 15th pick. I'd rather add in Bamba or accept not getting a pick that's too much higher than 15 in order to keep the 15th pick while adding another one. I would like to see us have two chances to pick players we like and gamble on. Just feels like it would be better, imo.

Bamba is a player our front office liked and gambled on with a much higher pick in a much better draft.

Surely AG and 15 gets us to the top 3 of this draft right? Anything less would be a fleecing.

True, but even when he's been at his best, I don't like him enough to not gamble on someone else. But I've also been against him on the team since he was drafted. So there's definitely a bias there. But I would still just trade AG for a pick and a player, even if that pick was the 14th pick. I'd try to keep the 15th unless we get a top 3 pick back. Which probably won't be happening.

Yeah i get that from the other team's side. LOL i just think its jumping to conclusion unless our org really was putting up a sale and advertising to every lotto team for AG+15... but then again, with our FO... who knows

Lol apparently we cant even get oubre for ag, getting a top 3 pick would be a farther reach.

Same. I would like to keep the pick. Hope they can get creative and still get something done. I'd give it up for Edwards though.

Maybe the guy they want to trade up for IS Nesmith. I don't see him being available at 15.

You may very well be correct, but most of the mocks and draft heads think he should be there at 15ish.

Who are you following? Outside of the Ringer, everyone seems to have him in the lottery.

and catered to giving the time to develop.... there is no way they will give up on him without giving him a fair try.... as swole bamba without covid side effects. lol
but i agree with Real... that i would love to keep the 15th as something else of value could drop.
lol... I'm still crossing fingers and toes for atlanta's 6th and reddish... for AG. make it happen! #wishfulthinking
