I'm skeptical though if he is brought in to replace Crowder.

Given Gallo would at minimum be getting the MLE, you'd have to assume this means Jae is a goner. He should be able to get MLE money somewhere himself.

Would be a miracle otherwise.

If Gallo has a chub for Miami then he can take a one year deal. No chub? Get that last premium deal. I expect the latter.

I’m not sure i take gallo over jae. I mean between being injury prone and a weak defender, Gallo has some significant negatives offsetting his very good offense. Jae is streaky offensively, but when he’s hitting his shots he’s quite good.

I must not be seeing what everyone else is seeing with Gallinari. Skilled offensive player, slow as dirt. Im imagining he and Duncan together on defense...ugh. Hopefully its smoke and mirrors or someone else decides to break the bank for him.

We don't make it to the finals without Crowder. Get that guy back here.

I do a Beal trade all day so long as it doesn’t include Duncan.

Herro, Nunn, 2 first rounders and cap filler enough to get it done?

Beal isnt the guy you empty the cupboard for. Harden or Giannis sure, maybe even Lillard. Beal isnt in that class.

He scores... he doesn't impact winning. Butler was on a horrible Bulls team and drug them to the playoffs.
Last year, Beal missed 7 games, Washington went 4-3 in those 7 games.

Let's look even closer at Beal...
Last year his ORTG was 113, DRTG was 117, overall a -4.
Only ONE season was he positive in ORTG - DRTG, that was 2016/2017 and he was a +5

Butler.. EVERY SINGLE YEAR he's been a positive in ORTG-DRTG and usually by a good amount. For instance this last year in Miami he was +15.

Looking at the big players (some available) looking at their impact last year using ORTG - DRTG
- With this stat, you have to take in consideration if they're a main player or a role player, role players usually are doing specific
Beal -4
Westbrook -3 (weird season, had multiple months he was a good positive.
Harden +12
Kawhi +13
George +6
Hield -8
McCollumn -7
Lillard +9
Bam +10
Butler +15
LeBron +10
AD +19
Embiid +9
Simmons +10
D.Mitchell -1
Jokić +9
CP3 +12
Giannis +19
T.Young -3
Siakam +2
Lowery +10
Aldridge +3
DeRozen +3
Jrue -4

Lower level guys..
Larry Nance Jr. +9
J.Grant +5
Gallinari +9
Wiggins -9
Nunn -9
D.Jones Jr +17 <- roleplayer, good defense, rarely shoots or turns over the ball.
M.Robinson +37

Our offensive droughts were consistent & concerning throughout PO's. We're in need of a reliable offensive punch....that's what Gallo brings.

Crowder went into the shadows the deeper we went. I'm certainly willing to sacrifice his defense for a scorer like Gallo. Where building a championship team. w/ players lining up to play here I'm sure Crowder's talents can be replaced. Then If Giannis signs Jae will be an after thought.

I do hope we can keep him, but if we're making significant acquisitions i could see him off the roster nxt season.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

I think Miami may have similar thoughts about Tyler. How cld you not. He was impressive in his 1st season & he's a work horse. You develop him further & see how his game elevates in the next couple of seasons. I've been watching NBA since the 80's & there's something about this kid. I did not see it in Winslow or Beasley. Herro is cut frm a diff cloth.

I believe he stays unless a Giannis-type whale is on the table. Highly doubt we just ship him for Beal.....unless it comes w/ a 2nd player or something of that nature.

If we are operating above the cap and not signing anyone with cap space we could still sign Gallo to the MLE and retain Crowder over the cap using his bird rights.

It seems as if we are planning to make improvements to this team via trade so if we do that then we'd likely offer contracts to Dragic and Crowder then add someone like Gallo for the MLE.

Targets are likely
Giannis
Harden
Beal
Holiday
Oladipo
Lowry
Paul
Westbrook

Likely in that order I'd be surprised if we don't end up with one of those guys after this free agency.

I would never trade Herro for Beal. Just for Giannis/Harden.
If that guy is right snd we gonna make a big splash via trade then we gonna have a very intersting week.
When are trade talks begin? Nov 16?

Beal might not be better than Jimmy

He can never be >>> Harden

4 years younger,
Hungrier,
Better 3 point shooter,
Makes 10Mil$ less per year,
Fits the culture better,
Fits our offense better.

THIS was my dream addition. The best possible fit, an elite 3 point shooting big.

Source is crap, but if we can pull it off with the MLE - that's the guy we need.

We'll take a lot of pressure to score off of Jimmy/Bam/Dragic, offense will be smooth as butter.

Defensively, we'll need to find way to improve. Possibly KZ/Vincent can help, maybe add a defensive guy.

Harden wld have aneurisms trying to wrap his brain around concept scoring off less possessions & sharing the ball...PLUS play defense

You add him to Jimmy, Herro, possible Bam improved shooting & this cat below & our offense becomes potent simply by adding him.

Just need a defensive big... stretch 5-type, hopefully & we set. Certain Riles also addresses this. We don't go into nxt season w/out a big.
