Joe would be a really intriguing swing at 24. I think he is a very worthy 1st round talent hiding in plain sight.

I know he’s going to go in the first few pics of the draft, but this is the most interesting breakdown I’ve seen of his game. I’ll admit I’m not a big fan of his game, but I think this is a fair critique.

Such a tough call. If I needed a superstar type player, Lamelo is probably the pick. If I’m Minnesota I’m trading back or out. Let someone else make the call.

That was a great video. He's the #1 prospect to me. The breakdown of his shooting before and after he switched to more of a set shot was pretty interesting.

I think Lamelo’s defensive focus is such a great sign for a prospect that pre Aussie, was not given much of a chance at developing.

Yeah, if Giannis signed here long term and was fine with us moving to get ball, I’d trade Middleton for him. It’s really risky, but I think at the very least we could still be a dominant regular season team next season without Middleton. I think we’ve seen this when Middleton has been out with injury.

As for ball, I think he’s phenomenally creative, which I think would help us significantly as one of our bigger issues has been telegraphing everything we do when things get tight. We don’t have any creativity on our team right now, and he would certainly add that for better or worse.

I think ball has the physical tools to be a plus defender who can guard multiple positions, the wiggle with the ball in his hands to get to the spots he wants to get to, and the passing ability to run a really good offense. Even if his shot never fully develops, which I think it could, that still seems like a damn intriguing player to me.

Of course Ball is intriguing, anyone that size who can pass at an elite level is. But imo it all comes down to his shooting because he's a gunner at heart so it's not like he's going to be some low usage guy if the shots aren't falling hell just keep shooting until they do.

He just seems like a tall Austin Rivers to me and his jumper, even after the change, is top 10 ugliest of all time right now. And that defense. Lawd have mercy.

But his passing potential is definitely top-notch and he is only 19. He should get better. Let's see how much better.

10 years from now hopefully you will have enough money to buy it off of Comedy Central and take it somewhere else.

Have the Bucks been linked to any other top 5 player?

We met with Deni per Athletic report from Ethan Strauss.

Taking another look at his entry in KOC's mock:

There's definitely some Austin in there in terms of his scoring ability right now, but Austin was never much of a passer while LaMelo is incredibly talented in that regard.

There was a very shady rumor (supposedly the Hawks version of BuckPack) that we were considering trading Middleton + other stuff for the #1 pick to take LaMelo

I'm not above considering shady rumors if we can track down the specific post or the like.

Either way it doesn't seem like the Wolves are enamored with Ball, and there are plenty of reports about them wanting to trade the pick:

This week, the Wolves conducted a workout with Ball in Southern California; they’ve also privately worked out Edwards. One thing is clear: Minnesota’s preference is to trade down, possibly with Charlotte for the third pick and other assets, or maybe even farther down the board. League sources say the Wolves love Tyrese Haliburton, and he could be their target if they move outside of the top three (or up from no. 17). Expect more rumors to swirl around Minnesota over the coming week.

Haliburton seems like such an obvious #1 and too many teams are overthinking it.
