Then throw in Thibs as the coach, pressure in NY and horrible spacing? There might not be a worse player we could bring in. Not sure how anyone can see this as anything but a horrible idea. Fire everyone and start over if they want to do this.
let's say he stays healthy and can produce like this for the next few years, my question is what is the plan after you get him ? that huge contract makes it impossible to sign anyone to play with him. so it's just gonna be the russ show for 3 years ? or trade away almost everything else to get him a partner ?
Yea, even in the "best" case scenario we are basically a treadmill team. It will be hard to build a roster around that contract....basically have to hope you can draft some stars...but even if we were to get lucky in the draft I would rather do that without Westbrook. Its a move that would make 0 sense and just waste 3 years.
