Would be a horrific move for them. They need some size up front. Westbrook doesn't solve their issue but man the chaos he would cause to their chemistry would be something to watch
Unfortunately I don't see the Cs doing that
Russ isn't Kyrie chemistry wise. People love Russ as a teammate. From Boston's perspective I could see them saying the jump in talent from Kemba to Russ is worth the extra 9 million in the final year and if you could snag a starting caliber Center like Randle in a deal too that's not a bad deal for them... Again unlikely but it makes sense.
He's worse than Kyrie as he's so easily exposed in the playoffs year after year. All you gotta do is sag off him, load up on the shooters so in Boston's case that's Tatum and Brown, force Westbrook to drive and while he is going to make some, more often than not if you mildly contest him he will blow a layup at the rim or get stripped or just dribble off his leg or whatever but expect turnovers and lots of them. He is terrible playing off the ball too, so even when you got Tatum or Brown looking to Iso (and Boston loves to Iso their wings) you can load up on them and force them to pass, forcing the ball to swing to none other than Westbrook. Teams have exposed him especially in the playoffs each and every year and especially now that his athleticism isn't even what it used to be and his jumper is as broke as it ever was. It's not going to work.
It will never happen as I don't see Orlando ever doing it or WB ever being interested in going there but a team like Orlando might make the most sense. A pick and pop Center who can score on the block too, surrounded with some shooters and you might be able to get the best out of WB with whatever he has left in the tank. Orlando isn't going anywhere anytime soon so they should look to at least give it a shot, they really have nothing to lose at this point.
