For us on this board it’s about earning the fans trust. Unfortunately I would almost guarantee 80% of casual Knick fans will be like “WOW we got Russ, former MVP, 3 triple double seasons in a row - playoffs here we come.”

It’s unfortunate but the way we analyze everything on this board simply isn’t how most Knick fans think nor operate. For a majority of them, earning their trust IS getting Westbrook and that is **** scary.

I'd be interested in Hayward if the Celtics are trying to attach draft capital w/ him

1) I dont think Hayward affects the teams W/L totals/draft positioning
2) he's a good fit on pretty much any team b/c he's a wing who can shoot, pass
3) only 1 yr left on his deal

Are these reports all about where RUSS wants to go, NOT who has actually pursued him or signaled interest? Seriously - read the wording of the reports, it's very nebulous about who the Knicks are viable to. Westbrook is driving this whole process by demanding a trade in the first place. Is all of the noise today simply leaks from Brodie's side about where HE'D want to be traded?

It makes even more sense this is the case when you take Woj's "the market is moving slowly" tweet into the picture.

tbh, I don't even see a viable deal. the deal that makes the most sense to me is for the Celtics to trade straight up w/ the Pacers Hayward + picks for Turner

he looks solid, definitely seems underrated (DX has him #73). he can flat out score; was a 3 level scorer in college. the downside w/ him is that he's not really a + athlete
