Ugh, Facebook fans are the worst. I don’t know why I ever click on those stories.

I saw a re-tread of the rumored story of AG + #15 for the #2 overall pick.

Some fans in the comments started peddling the idea that Orlando needed to include Isaac as well.

What can I say? It’s not like the Orlando fans on Facebook are any better ...

An Isaac/Okeke/Vassell lineup would be a defensive wrecking ball. If Bamba pans out then that's a hydra of length and rim protection. The PG would need to be Dame level to carry the offense though, which would make Vuc a better C candidate than Bamba - especially with do much weakside help available.

And would be the worse offense in the league

Sorry but those 3 +vuc and fultz would struggle to be in the top 29 in the league on the offensive side of the ball (that's assuming isaac ever plays more than half the games in any season)

Its hilarious how much FSU gets overrated on this board. Between Isaac, Bacon, Mann and now Vessell, and Williams, youd think FSU was a national championship winner ever year the way those guys get hyped
Speaking for myself only, I don't give a **** where a player goes to school. I'll always favor 2-way players over potentially good offensive players.

If we didn't have Fultz, I'd be clamoring for 1 of the PG/combo-guards. But I think we're set at that position. Vassell, in garnet and gold, different country flag, or one of the ugly orange combos, would get my pick to join my favorite NBA team.

And if not for COVID, FSU would've won the tourney this year. Noles traded football relevancy for basketball, lol.

Clearly no bias

And so if you're going to be unbias...tell me, what makes vassell any better than say Josh Green?

Seriously, where did all these Vessell love come from. Dude has ZERO offense and is a Isaac clone. We do not need this kind of player anymore

Am I the only one that thinks Isaac's offense isn't bad? Like he can shoot threes, hit FT at a decent clip, has a decent jumper.. just isn't the best at creating his shot but it's not like he's MKG or something.

We need a scorer though. Not a shooter, someone who can actually score from inside and out and create their own offense.

That's why I said the PG would need to be Dame level to carry the offense. If Okeke and Vassell can prove to be reliable 3pt shooters and willing passers, then there's still plenty of scope for good offense. I'd imagine we'd lead the league in fast breaks and transition points with those 3 getting deflections en masse.

Don't underestimate the value of elite defense. That combo could become Detroit-like on defense who just need a Chauncey and Rip tandem to make the big shots.

Also, I'm as sceptical as you about Isaac's return, I'm just laying out the potential of the team if they took Vassell.

Add Anthony to our in person list.
Read on Twitter

With a limited # of in person workouts available, it seems we are finally looking to the backcourt.
Vassell, Lewis, Hampton, Mannion and now Cole.

I think Vassell is a better athlete, defender, quicker, better handle, & more versatile.

I like Josh Green too and if we stayed at 15, i'd be super happy to draft him. I'd take Green over Nesmith and he's probably one of my top 2 or 3 for #15. Green is closer to 3&D than Vassell is, IMO.

Listen man, I'm not exactly out here clamoring for us to draft him, but as someone who watched the entirety of both of their college careers, I encourage you to do a little bit more research into Vassell.

They have vastly different offensive skillsets and played completely different roles at FSU. Vassell is a legitimate pure shooter (41% from 3 for his career) who showed significant improvement offensively from year one to year two in terms of his shot-making off the dribble. Isaac was basically a baseline roamer/putback threat for the majority of his time at FSU and never showed the same chops as a shooter, though I'd argue if he had another year like Vassell he would have displayed a much more well rounded offensive game.

I have to wonder if you are getting Vassell confused with Patrick Williams who is a bit closer to the player you described.

We could absolutely use a player like Vassell. I wouldn't move up to draft him, but I'd be flat out ecstatic if he fell to us. He will be a legitimate 3&D starting wing imo with a long-shot chance at developing a more potent offensive game with the way he developed year one to year two at FSU.

I’ll be surprise if AG + 15th doesn’t net us a top 5-6 pick.

It's actually more like "Where have u been bruh?"

He's instant plug and play from day 1. NBA ready body, length, defense, shooting and slashing.

I agree with you now. :)

I just want a playmaker who can create his own shots

He can create his own offense. Will he be given the green light on a team of selfish vets?
