Pretty much what he’s heard Knicks are being linked because they are extremely active around the nba covering all bases in positioning themselves to capitalize on other teams needing salary relief and seeing what the market is for moving up or down in the draft

Knicks have no intention of moving up or moving Mitch or any of there young players. Rose abs company are in asset collection mode to snag a superstar and will not jeopardize cap and the ability to go after someone should they become available.

Clarification cause I’m guessing you think it’s a double statement by me.

What I’m saying is the reason they are talked about right now being involved in every rumor is because it seems knicks front office has made sure they have every Avenue covered. Whether it’s trading up or down and knowing what prices cost to be prepared in case there’s value they feel they should capitalize on.

However I was told they have 0 desire to move up for any prospects and they will not come off the Dallas picks. Rose and co are holding assets or acquiring assets in the event of a potential disgruntled star trade.

This is the route they talked about taking and one that makes the most sense for the direction of the franchise so if they stick to their word it's a good sign.

I just listened to Lowe’s podcast with the DX guys and I think Givony has Okoro third on his big board. So it’s not only ainge that’s really high on him.

That whole first option thing is limiting. Miami doest have a true first option. You have a bunch of very good players that fit well together and they go to the hottest player on any given day. I say we go that route - build a TEAM and stop with the incessant star phucking so early in the process.

miami is gonna trade a bunch of those good players for a star first chance they get. they're not a real contender until they do so.

Not a real contender? They made it to the finals , barring injury I say they would have taken the Lakers to the birnk if healthy. But since they built the right way they have talent to spare - even in a trade for the Freak.- they will still have several key pieces remaining- several allstars. Why? Because they took the time to build the correct way.

I agree Miami is a contender.

But they are not a good example of building a team. It's was too difficult and they got lucky.
- a) They got a really good player in Adebayo with a mid pick.
- b) Got a superstar.
- c) Got another really good player with another mid pick who overachieved in his first year.
- d) Got lucky developing 2 undrafted players that overachieved in their first year of serious game time
- e) Traded for good vet help

Possibly. I could also see this as Jaylen Brown being in Danny Ainge ear a bit and giving his input on trying to pick up Okoro. They both come from Georgia and Okoro has played with Brown growing up so he probably has an idea of how good the kid can be.
