If Kawhi and PG leave after next season, they literally have no good young players or draft capital.bwgood77 wrote:Crives wrote:spanishninja wrote:
I think most likely he knows how much of an impact he had on the team this year, setting them up for a winning attitude. Would be surprised if we don't take care of him in return, sending him to a contender. The bigger thing we gotta worry about is having to play against him when we go against the Clips or Lakers lol.
He’s not going to LA. OKC owns the Clippers picks, they have a vested interest in see the Clippers fall apart.
Clippers are not falling apart any time soon.

They won't leave. They both grew up near LA and have both wanted to play there their entire careers.

Can they even get something done currently? Isn't everyone waiting on trade window to open?

No. Yes. It's annoying..the NBA is probably waiting until Monday morning because they like to be the main attraction in the news and don't want to be buried under college and pro football when stuff starts going down. I wouldn't be surprised if it starts like midnight on Sunday night.

That's why I don't get why this guy is tweeting both sides want to get this done fast when they can't even if they wanted to.

These updates are a whole lot of nothing.
Yes, They are!

But they still may be of interest to some that aren't quite up to speed on the situation?

Luckily for us too with the condensed offseason, We won't have to postulate on this trade too much longer.

But apparently time is ticking. Though I guess it always is.

Surely you guys don't want FVV over Rubio?! That's insulting to Rubio

If true, I'm sure it would be Paul, As he has other suitors as well. And wants to get things finalized asap, So he can review his options with respect to his new team, And then once the trade is finalized. He can acclimate accordingly?

Time is ticking toward the draft is my reading. OKC is probably asking for #10 hoping to get at least a pick swap out of it. Suns likely trying to get a third/fourth team involved before the draft. Flex said Jones is trying to do right by Oubre and Rubio, sending Kelly to a place he would want to re-sign and Rubio to a contender.

Hi,
Been away for a while, and I'm just catching up a bit here. Skimmed through the last 5 pages, and I'm not really sure, so someone pls enlighten me: who is this Flex guy, and why do we trust him to have legit info about the Suns? What would the CP trade look like in (his) theory? I'm not really hot for the idea to be honest, I see a growing chance of a CP injury with his age, and/or him falling off a cliff, also due to his age. I suppose it would mean no Rubio, no Oubre, no Baynes as well.
Thanks in advance

Flex is the newest mouth piece oozing tidbits lapped up by puppies at a milk dish. Apparently he’s somewhat vetted, but hungry dogs will eat poop. No reason not to believe him, and many won’t bite the hand that feeds them, but to think he is getting this info from Jones and Co defies the stealthy characteristics they have established. Sure has caused a stir. Not sure if it makes sense to me. Dice roll supreme.
What ? Me Worry ?

Hadn't heard of Flex until last week. No idea if he has any credibility as an insider. Guess we will find out soon. Either way, it is fun.

To me, this smells like the deal is dying or dead and he may be trying to ride out his 15min of fame.

An interesting player that we can probably obtain and has roots in Phoenix is PJ Tucker.
He is not happy without a contract extension in Houston and with D'Antoni out he looks available now. He would fit nicely.

Re: 2020 Season/Offseason (FA/Trade) Speculation - the Season Resumes
Spoiler:
There was a similar account last year reporting Westbrook to the Heat being a done deal for several days. The person kept touting their sources and telling everyone to be patient because the deal was done...eventually the account disappeared after Russ was traded to the rockets.
I don't know if CP3 ends up on the Suns or not. I do know that thunder fans have had seen similar situations happen so many times and then the actual trade ends up being something out of left field with a team we didn't expect. I also know that even though the thunder might be trying to find a good situation for CP3, he is not in control of the situation. Presti has his thumb on every part of this organization more than any GM in the league.

Though he still tries to send these guys to where they want to go, correct? Like Westbrook to the Rockets and George to the Clippers. Of course both of those guys were longer time Thunder players he probably had more allegiance to.
There have been reports for most of the last year it seems though that they would work with Paul on a destination and try to trade him somewhere he wants to go.
Are you hoping he is traded? If so, what are you hoping for in return and what do you think his value with that contract and age are really worth?
