Vince Carter didn't get his proper send-off due to Covid, so I just want to marvel again at the fact that he had two whole careers. Most hyper athletic perennial all-star types would have retired when he started to slow down in his mid 30s, but Vince just turned himself into Jared Dudley and played 9 more seasons.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Warriors want off Dray and future salary for him. I'd bet he's rubbed enough people the wrong way. I wonder if KD would've resigned if the told him Draymond was gone. I'd guess they're also about to get hit with some tough finances due to their cap situation and no fans. But I'd be surprised if something materialized good enough for them to pull the trigger on the trade.

I know Russ to the Knicks is the most Knicks thing possible. But I also think it makes sense. They've been trash for basically 25 years now, all their rebuild stuff has just not worked. Grab russ and let him go wild for 3 years, win 45 games and lose in the first round. Compared to their current state of affairs, it's a huge improvement. On the other hand, likely the first year of that is going to be without fans so having someone like him as a 'draw' isn't as important. Knicks really should've took on CP3 last year instead of signing 5 PFs with that cap space.

He screwed up royally not taking the extension he was offered last year. Whether he gets traded or not idk if a team will trust him on a huge long term deal like that, as even if he’s healthy, apparently he’s still a chemistry liability.

The Jamison/Carter/Cota/Williams team was my favorite college team to watch. But even as a mega-fan even I was surprised at how seamless Carter made the transition to NBA star. Back then I thought Jamison was the better bet for stardom. Then again I was dumb 17 year old.

I don't know the answer to that - at least not anymore - but do know Tiago has a 2-3 year stretch where he was a waaay better player than Thomas was, lol. He was a very legitimate contributor to the final Spurs title run. Wasn't that Parker/Manu/Kawhi/Duncan/Splitter?

But yeah, we definitely loved us some Tiago Splitter. Especially before he came over.

I was living in the DC area and watched almost every Wizards game as a kid when we signed Thomas. He was way better than any Bucks center the following season, which isn’t saying much considering those centers included Daniel Santiago and a “19” year old Zaza. Etan could’ve slid to the four next to Bogut when that was possible, provided he didn’t makes us just better enough to miss out on the #1 pick in 05 and end up with Chris Paul. Wouldn’t have required Larry Harris to move Desmond Mason for Magliore, which means he never earns that “snake in the grass” moniker from The Cowboy. Etan was always injury prone, but Bucks fans would’ve loved his motor. Way better post defender than Gadzuric, who got more money a year later.
