Harden is a future all time great and top 3 shooting guard ever. Ben's potential is all time great caliber and he has the highest ceiling of any player on this roster with his defensive and offensive potential. That's the only type of player he's worthy of being moved for. Beal is a sexy Lavine, they're bucketgetters, but neither are spearheading a championship caliber offense like Harden will for the next 3 years at least. If you move Ben it has to unquestionably make your team good enough to compete with Lebron James / Steph Curry and Kevin Durant immediately, because the window will tighten significantly. I'm not sure Beal and Embiid are doing so.

I believe morey mentioned both guys names (and also Josh Richardson, no thybulle or shake) when he was trying to state the rest of the roster but it was just one time as far as i can recall.

do people think before it was “Embiid and Ben’s team” and after the Morey presscon it is now “Embiid’s team”?

Is this like the precursor to the.. ben is tradable because we are building around Biid. Not building around Biid and Ben.

To be fair with Morey, it sounds like he showed his card about building this team with Embiid but later tried to cover it up by mentioning Biid and Ben as a pair.

All this RW trade talk made me do some research on RW and ask why did Morey wanted this guy..

RW is an inefficient scorer. He’s floating on 52TS%, after the 2016-2017 season (peak stat padding season). He is a horrible scorer in the playoffs with an average of 41FG% for his career.

I know people will say it’s Fertita’s fault. But Morey sounds like he wanted RW and when I was listening to a podcast (i believe its woj) that the guy being interviewed said Fertita is the one who wanted RW, Morey called the guy and told him everyone was on board with RW. Including himself.

Last moves Morey made on Houston didn't make him look good IMO.

I don't care about his RS stats, Westbrook never was a winning player. Also he relies a lot on athlicisim, so he's going to regress a lot and turn into a terrible contract in no time.

The trade to make them a full time small ball team was also very questionable.

I hope these moves were just made by context and having little to no options. The CP3/Harden beef really messed with his plans.
