Letting go of the Kira hype

Speed and quickness are nice, but knowing what to do with the ball ranks way higher and there seem to be PGs in this draft who are more evolved at facilitation than Kira

I'd still rather draft a PG than sign FVV and if we're going to do that I'd prefer a more mature playmaker who can start as a rookie

hayes and bane inshallah. basically my perfect 8/27.

i could also do hayes or kira at 8 and some kind of trade up to 14-ish to get on the RJ hampton train. they could all share the ball, right? and i think RJ barrett is best as a 3/playmaking wing anyway.

As a practicing existentialist I say meaning is what you make of it. To a practicing fatalist, upcoming Knicks games are pre-emptorily going to be exercises in failure. For the practicing optimist, hope springs eternal (or maternal in HerSports case).

For what it’s worth, Jerami Grant attempted .2 threes per game in college at Syracuse. On Denver he’s had back to back seasons shooting the 3 ball at a damn near 39% clip on almost 4 attempts per game. The way I feel is that if this new front office and coaching staff firmly believe that Okoro is the guy you draft him. Like Captain even said, you don’t start over thinking it by trading a quarter for three dimes.

Personally I want Killian or Kira. But just trying to be objective here.

I don’t think guys don’t like okoro it’s just that your drafting a guy with clear shooting weaknesses to an already terrible shooting team. Even when you want to overlook that shooting weaknesses what stand out skill set does he have on offense to makeup for it?

I’d tAke him at 8 just because I like the upside but I mean it’s Not an ideal fit
