It would depend on the cost. LMA is probably more desirable for us than DD, with Leonard likely gone. But it would probably require KO/Iggy to go out for salary balance. So the question would then be asset cost - considering he’s a 1-year rental, I wouldn’t be expecting it to be high.

Personally, I wouldn't give up this pick for a 35YO rental.

But some around here would argue LMA is a former star, a great fit and the draft is crap so it's fair value.

Yeah it’s not the best or the worst, but I see value in it.

Here we have guys salivating for Derozan and Wesley Matthews... :noway: :nonono:

And supposedly me saying we should go all in for Harden is blasphemy. What an absolute load of bullcrap. It's like no one watches winning players. Harden isn't perfect. But the combination of Him, Jimmy and Bam will get the job done. There's no miraculous team that can compete realistically for 5-6 years straight even in the modern era. You get short windows. We have one now and we need to go for it.

I'm sure we can still retain 1/2 young players after dealing for Harden.. look at the rumoured Nets offer for chrissake!! Dimwiddie N Levert

I would rather have Westbrook over Harden

Only reason not to do that is if we want to preserve flexibility for a whale this off-season. I mean i wish lma was a little faster and $10m cheaper. But he’s a good rebounder, can space the floor, still plays good defense, and can give us a legit backup to Bam... without sacrificing 21 cap space.

So as I thought Gallinari is still being pursued along with Matthews.

PG: ______? - Dragic - Nunn
SG: Butler - Herro - Matthews
SF: Robinson - Iguodala
PF: Gallinari - Okpala
Ce: Adebayo - Olynyk

Sounds like Heat looking at sign and trade scenarios.

Might have to overpay Gallinari for one year.

Let's say we S&T for Gallo using Olynyk and another player, could we still re-sign Dragic and/or Jae?

The logical guy would be Nunn. I'm not sure I'd be for that unless Mia was locked in on drafting a guard that they believe would contribute immediately.

OKC owns 2 of Mia's FFR picks which have protections. Perhaps KO and the removal of the protections for Galo might be an explorable option.

Good grief. Thunder going to own 20 first rounders over the next 5 years.

Is Presti going to be excommunicated from the league by being Hinkle 2.0?

OKC knows they have to draft a star or trade for one. Sure they are gonna move up in the draft.
