Yikes. We need to use our MLE on Gallo before they do

I think that trade is a win for both teams. Thunder can get a pretty good player at 28 and can also potentially flip Danny Greens expiring at the deadline for another pick.

If Rockets collapse, Thunder could be scary good in 3/4 years.

He has made the public claim that he isn’t as concerned about the money as he is contending with a winning team. So that puts us in the convo.

I believe the Warriors have a tentative deal in place for the guy they want.

Lakers can give him about $4 million more than the Warriors and a better shot at a ring.

Lakers getting Schroder is not good. They already have a size advantage on us, now they're improving their playmaking while not really losing anything on 3 point shooting.

No more 45-day rule for two ways. Now a 50 game active limit.

Getting outbid on Schroeder which shouldn’t have happened seems to be putting the Lakers in great position. They nab Dennis, can swap Matthews in for Green, and now can outbid us and the Clippers with the MLE.

Almost have to hope the Mavs take Gallo off the market to avoid him going to Los Angeles.

How were they supposed to outbid pick 28?

What would the Warriors have offered to outbid the Lakers?

Trade Schroeder into the TPE to for financial relief, our own 2021 pick, we also have a two 2nd rounders in this draft to throw on top.

If we don't hit big on a player in this draft, we're screwed. And we might be for this year anyway. We still have a good team with Steph, Klay, and Draymond (and maybe Wiggins), but to me we're clearly a bit behind at this point. We literally have no one who can match up with LeBron or AD and Schroder gives them a legit, dynamic backcourt player to somewhat neutralize our backcourt advantage. Myers & Co. need to work some magic.

Mostly because our team has been completely hush hush and down right evasive in regards to the TPE.

I’m sure they have told all of their staff to basically stfu in regards to specific plans or thoughts on guys. It’s almost a test to see who might be a leaker.

I guarantee they have been talking to most of the league and Myers said as much. Nothing specific and Myers downplays everything.

So yes it’s a gut feeling...but based on facts like the roster needs a lot of help. And the TPE has a quick expiration date, it makes more sense to use it versus not.

So I believe they have a tentative deal in place.

Health and versatile #1Defense will lead us back to the promised land..

Lakers won because we weren’t healthy and lost Iguodala/Livingston/Bogut to age..I have no fear of the Lakers if we right ourselves ..

Key is to focus on D acquisitions

That is a lot to give up and a huge financial commitment for a back up PG on an expiring contract...

I feel like the TPE is enough that any big deals that are trying to be done will include a call to the Warriors to find out what it would take for the TPE to be part of it.

That’s where Bob and Kerr need to use their magic. We can sell Danilo on culture and playing in an offense catered for him to score.
