17 & Johnson won't cut it for Orlando. Trading Gordon is not a dump of any sorts; especially with Issac out for the year. It'll be to move up to get a player we REALLY like or for a young player to try and develop. Highly doubt #1 is even considered, so I'd guesstimate it's for latter.

Even mentioning the #1 probably means we’re not in your ballpark. Trading the #17 pick is not a salary dump for Minnesota. If you want a general value of Culver as a pick, we have a poll here.

My take is that Culver was a small city kid overwhelmed by the NBA. He’s a good kid, he has metrics and can handle the ball a bit, but his shooting was miserable. He is already a good defender. His LAST four weeks of the NBA season were very encouraging, and the nba shut down hurt him. The kid is a gym rat and very coachable.

What do you mean encouraging? I thought he was terrible in the final four? Especially the championship where he was supposed to be Texas Techs best player

Lol - I meant the final, four weeks of the nba season!

I better go edit that. Thanks

No denying Jrue would be a GREAT fit with Russell. I just think it would take at least a 4yr/120m extension to get it done. That would mean we’re paying over 100m to three players, only 1 of which is a perennial all star type (Towns), and I don’t think anyone would consider us a contender for even the WCF.

What would a package look like? I just couldn’t give the #1 given his age/contract demands.

This has been discussed once or twice before. I think most MIN fans have reached the concensus that #17 is all they would pay, with the possible inclusion of Omari Spellman or the #33. If that’s not enough for ORL, so be it.

Orlando is finding teams dont value Gordon as much as they hoped.Look at Schroedr (someone who had a much better Last season than Gordon) he only brought back Danny Green and the 28th pick for the Thunder.

Why would we want either DJ Augustin or Terrence Ross?

Cheap good veteran PG and 6th man 15pt pt scorer..

Nothing wrong with those two at all.

Augustin is a unrestricted free agent and we already have a Terrance Ross on the Wolves roster in Malik Beasley. Both play the same way. Ross is on a 4 year 54 million contract.

Don't want to deal Culver. I just got a vibe he is going to be very good. His last month and his first month of last season were both good. I'm just going to forget his middle of the season ever happened.

I think he’s gonna be average, maybe above average.

That 50% free throw from a guard is horrible. If we draft Lamelo Ball or Edwards, I’m okay moving Culver because that number 1 pick is going to start next to DLo.

I see Culver as a terrific 6th man Up the road. Add and keep 10-20 lbs and makes 75% ft’s and go from there

6th man has to be able to score and carry the second units offense. Culver has shown zero sign he can do that. He averaged 9pts his rookie season which was a bust like rookie year for a top 6 pick.

To me, Culver and Okogie are very similar. Above average defenders but poor shooters. Keep one and move the other because they can’t play together because of the lack of shooting.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
