So we can trade him on draft night, right? This is big news, and gives us more asset

Not surprised to hear Fournier opted in. As crazy as 2020 has been it makes total sense. I believe the Magic will move him around the deadline. Whenever thatā€™ll be because of the late start. Normally I think new or renewed contract guys can be traded in December.

How many players have declared their intentions so far? I haven't heard of many others. The fact this has been announced prior to the draft and during the trade window could be because he might be part of a trade. Interesting. Maybe Fournier + #15 was getting more love than AG + #15?

I'm kind of disappointed but it was the most likely scenario

Several.

Batum and Otto Porter both exercised their options.

Wes Matthews did not.

It's not a surprise but now we have some closure on the matter.

I'm not a Fournier hater but would not lock him up long-term.

I do think The Magic should now look to trade Fournier in a package deal. If they cannot, they at least have a starting shooting guard for 20-21.

No surprise that Fournier opt in due to the circumstances of the season. Anyways, not that it's done and over with. Look for the Magic to trade him between now and the deadline. Hopefully it will not involve the 15th pick.

I can't wait for him to be traded so everyone can start complaining about someone else.

I really wish we could bring him off the bench to play with Ross. Fournier is fantastic as a lead bench player. Unfortunately, he'll likely be top 2-3 usage on this team again and will likely try to take over in the 4th quarter, which is always horrible.

Fournier would be a great role player for a team like the Lakers that have great Superstars like LeBron and AD. That's what sucks about our team. . . We have some grade A 3rd and 4th options for some actual superstar players, but no actual superstars.

But, at least we know for a fact that he picked up his option now. It wasn't surprising to any Magic fan, but it's good to know. I'm obviously not a huge fan, so I'm hoping we move him. But I know what we'd be losing once that day comes. Just because I'm a "hater" doesn't mean I'm an idiot.

The Magic has no cap space with or without Fournier. So punting on this year's FA market is fine from a management perspective.

Related: it would be even better at this point if Ennis also opts in. Any word on that?

All signs to me point to quite a favorable trade of Fournier to the Bucks for you guys. Something like Dante, 24 and garbage. That's my prediction.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please adviseā€¦.
