The only max players this year are AD and Ingram. I don't see one being traded to them this season; at least not before the deadline. I would say Dedmon, Fernando, and Huerter are the easiest to get. With 43 million in cap, I don't see any emphasis on needing to get rid of anyone. The Hawks only have 8 players on guaranteed contracts.

Trae, Collins, Capela, Hunter, Huerter, Reddish, Dedmon, Fernando and then the 6th pick once he is signed.

Was supposedly Vlade made the call to light a fire in him or something like that. We all were confused too. I mean they kept Papa's salary on the books that one year as a previous reference comparison. Vivek has seeked cash considerations and traded back in the second round for loot too before.

We all thought it was odd too. I mean they've invested all this time, he's shown some glimpses, what else were we going to use the space for anyways?

Probably better for his career to get outta here.

Well, in a couple of his articles on his website, he cited Scoop B as an informed source for his reporting. :lol:

He lists Forbes on his profile, which is real hit or miss. Here in Indy, we've got a pretty good Pacers guy that writes for Forbes (also does Locked On Pacers podcasts and such) named Tony East, but there's some terrible ones out there, too, for local teams.

We thought the same thing on TJ Leaf and picked up his option. Shoulda let him go, instead, as now we're looking to dump his contract since the deadline.

Probably better for Detroit as an expiring trade chip given Detroit has $30M in capspace already and it's a lackluster FA market this year. Protects them from themselves a bit with FA offers.

No team is taking Dedmon and sending out an asset. They would demand an asset for taking him on.

KCP is another sleeper FA talked up by Hawks fans. He is at a better timeline age wise than Rondo.

The Atlanta writer on The Athletic mocked KCP to the Hawks in his idea for a great offseason the other day.

If the Hawks were to get Rondo, KCP, with Bertans or Gallinari this off season, I would call that a win.

Not to mention that regular season Rondo hasn't been a good player - even by backup standards - for several years.
