If he's truly available, we gotta go for him. Lauri + White + #4 + future 1st (s)? Then go find star #3 in FA.

Instead, maybe they get it right and have Free Agency and trades after the draft so players and teams can make better decisions.

Schroder to the Lakers is the first deal this off-season. That's a steal for them.

Also a good deal for OKC though. They get another first (to trade up?) + Danny Green, who they can probably flip at the deadline.

I don't see how this is a good deal for OKC. Schroeder is a good, youngish player. Green is on the heavy decline and the #28 isn't worth much.

Solid trade for the Lakers. OKC is rebuilding so even though it's a low pick it's not a killer for them.

Hell no. If he couldn't win in Houston what makes you think he could win here? Iso ball is not a winning basketball strategy.TyrusRose2425 wrote:If he's truly available, we gotta go for him. Lauri + White + #4 + future 1st (s)? Then go find star #3 in FA.

Schröder isn't that good. Negative on defense, okay playmaker who had a career season shooting the ball. I think a lot of his success last year had to do with Paul. Now he will obviously have LeBron and AD, so I still like it for the Lakers. But Dennis Schröder is nothing more than an okay player on an expiring deal which the Thunder were never going to extend. This is a very solid move at the right time IMO.

I'm really happy that the play-in tournament is back and I like how they changed it. Seems pretty likely that the Bulls end up in that 7-10 seed range to me.

Agreed, especially since other contenders like MIL were trying to obtain him. Not only does it help the Lakers it hurts their competitors. And they just give up their bottom pick who wouldn't play for them anyway? They basically gave up nothing.

I hope that deal goes through. IMO, that will make the Nets worse (too many high touch guys). More importantly, I wonder if we could interest HOU in a deal for either Levert or Covington?

@NateDuncanNBA: Per the league memo, looks like the agreement on the luxury tax is even more favorable to tax teams than had been reported. The BRI reduction multiplier operates to reduce the amount a team is over the tax, shaving money off the higher tax brackets.
The league is saving teams that spent recklessly. I really, really dislike this move.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

He's a guy who can create and score. What exactly did you think you were getting for an old and overpaid Danny Green and a very late 1st?
I'm surprised they didn't go for CP3.

OKC/Chicago fan. I largely agree, but I think Presti is also probably going out of his way to help the Lakers because any team winning the championship who isn't the Rockets/Clippers raises the likelihood of those teams falling apart and the boatload of picks OKC have from both teams skyrocketing.

It's not a bad deal for OKC but LAL wins this imo. Grades out better if they manage to flip Green for another asset.

If there is an opportunity to acquire a top 5 player in the league, you do it.
I'm not the biggest fan of Harden and his style of play, but you'd have to be a little silly not to atleast put up an offer to see what it would take to acquire him.

As expected, Otto opted into the final year if his deal. Smart on his behalf; there's no way he gets that on the open market
