Sixers are idiots if they don't immediately offer Simmons for Harden.

Harden to Nets would be perfect. Harden to 76ers would be scary but also entertaining. Could see that blowing up and they would be our clear rivals.

Miami- What are their plans? Feel they are due to for a disaster year.

Didn't Caron once put a cap on how many PPG he could avg, publically? Now in the present he always knew Giannis would be great? Ha, okay.

Salt was heavy during that rookie campaign.

Tobes and Simmons salary seem to work as the foundation of the deal.

So Harden asks Houston to give up a boatload for Westbrook. They do it, Harden realizes it isn't going to work and forces a trade.

Houston is in bad shape here, I guess it would be ironic if they traded him to OKC for a boatload of those first round picks.

Zach Lowe looks like a human gnat.

Zach is my favorite basketball writer of all time, he is insightful and plugged in and occasionally funny. But put him on tv, yikes.

Heat are lining up two clear two max slots to absorb Harden and sign Giannis next summer. What a world.

Chris Paul being available and not us not getting him might haunt me forever. :(

MikeIsGood wrote:Can someone help me with what Rubio really does for us? I don't see it.

We have the most dominant interior scorer since Shaq and run a bunch of torturous **** just to get him a look somewhere near the basket in the half court. Rubio is flawed but he's as good a passer as anyone to have played. He'll just hit him when he's near the basket every damn time.

A few things:

1. We desperately need better passers on this team IMO and he's among the best in the league.
2. Allows us to play Giannis off-ball more and set him up for easier baskets.
3. He's someone that we can feel safe putting the ball in his hands that he'll make good decisions/take care of the ball.
4. He's sadly probably a better shooter than Bledsoe.
5. All of that while also being a good defender (obviously not Bledsoe level, but good nonetheless).

I don't disagree with any of this - maybe with #4, but not enough to debate - but this is in a vacuum. Getting Rubio on its own will do next-to-nothing for us, especially with what Presti would likely take from us. In concert with other deals then I might be on board.
From what I had heard he might be available for just expirings.

All his points are good, even the shooting but with the caveat that he's better spot up shooter and only really takes wide open looks.

What he's really good at is controlling the pace and flow of a game. He has a good feel for when a guy needs a look or when things are getting on tilt and you need to settle down and run a good play.

I was a Rubio doubter who really appreciated him more after watching him more last year.

This is it. A lot of people think we need our PG to be a shooter, and while that would help, the big problem with Bled is he gets sped up and does bad things. When the game gets slow, when the traffic gets thick, we need somebody who can read it.

I also think that although he's not a greater threat to shoot than Bled is, you really want to crowd Rubio, not to the extent that you'll go over a screen, but you can't just let him stand there with the ball -- he'll pick you apart.

Bucks biggest weakness to me is a pure passer. They could barely get entry passes into lopez at times. They can't run pick n roll well as noon can thread a needle, and have you ever watched their fast breaks or lobs? most of the lobs are really bad passes but giannis is able to gather because he's a freak. If they somehow got a pure passing PG that would help a TON.

Campazzo is the answer to this quandary. Would instantly become our best passer by a wide margin.

Presti's revenge against Houston is basically the ending of Inglorious Basterds.

The Rockets cost the Thunder a championship if not a dynasty by one-overing him on the original Harden sign and trade.

Now Presti is burning their whole franchise down with Harden and Westbrook fleeing to the exits (following Morey and D'antoni) after all involved recognized the extent of the damage that 'Chris Paul for all your draft assets' trade cost them.

Sign Campazzo, trade for Rubio, draft Maledon. Get them all in here. Daddy wants the razzle dazzle.

Rubio is always a guy who's "fine" as your starter, yet every team he starts for always seems to be looking for an upgrade at that position. This'll be his 4th team in 4 years, he's 30 years old, and his teams generally don't seem to miss him when he's gone. It's not so much about his shooting as much as it is about his deficiencies as a scorer or any type of offensive threat whatsoever outside of passing the basketball (which yes, he is very good at).

The Chris Paul trade was a nice jolt, but I need more trades to sustain my high. Short-sighted GMs and desperate execs, help your boy out! My guts is killing me.
