Nor do I. It's not blaming him at all to be concerned about how his dad's constant hype machine might have longer ranging impact. But it's definitely not his fault--that's on mom and pop.

Wiggins and Pick 2 for Rubio and Oubre?

That feels scarily like something that could happen

I'm less scared of Wiggins than Lamelo. Lamelo just seems like he would be an immediate malcontent in OKC. As much as presti controls the media and player access, I can't see him taking a guy who has a reality show about his family.

Well this would be Wiggins and LaMelo

Too many posts today. I need to slow down and read.

Be right back, posting a GB thread: Can LaMelo win 1 vs 5 against middle schoolers.

Jerami Grant declining PO as expected. Somewhat surprising--Valentine gets a $4.7M QO from Chicago.

Is Lopez ring chasing or does he have a promise for a longer term deal from somebody?

My best guess is the Bucks let him know if he picks up that option he's just trade fodder and he chose freedom over money? No chance he ever makes that money up.

But Dunn does not.

Maybe he wanted to avoid the possibility of being traded to a bad team.

If it's ring-chasing I'm not sure why he would leave Milwaukee.

My guess is there's already a totally-not-tampering deal with someone...or he thinks he has the leverage to get a long-term deal out of the Bucks themselves.

KOC reporting Blazers have interest in Millsap. Makes sense.

I believe teams just have to work harder to make their teams competitive and it's important for owners to open their wallets when you have a great player or you will lose him.

The problem is this often becomes a self-defeating strategy. The Pelicans kept trading 1sts to get win now veterans in hopes that it would make AD stay. But unless you hit on all of those trades, you're now just an older team that still isn't a contender but without 1sts to get better.

Pels had a number of terrible GMs. Have to be smarter than that strategy, that's the same strategy Cavs used for LeBron. That does not work and it should be known.

I won't assign all the blame to the FO execs because owners sometimes tend to meddle and want immediate results after getting a star/superstar.

I don't recall Morey (Harden - Houston), Demps (Davis - New Orleans), ? ( LeBron - Cleveland) being allowed to tank while Presti was allowed to tank.

Is Presti a good GM?

Yes but I don't think that he would have been able to accomplish as much in regards to transactions if the ownership had pushed him to start trying to win ASAP.

They have tilted at that windmill before. If he healthy he would be a nice PF option for us.. assuming we don't overpay.
