I'm fully expecting WeHam to draft another wing/big at 15 and sell off the 2nd round pick like they do every year.

Just asking, why isn't Deni Avdija entertained as a viable option more often in this draft thread?
The guy is experienced and young at the same time and it seems like he brings a lot to table with his skillset. He looks like a good replacement if Gordon were to be traded soon.
He's projected to be picked somewhere in the 3-6 range.
Guys, I'm trying to understand what's your opinion of him, excuse me if he's been discussed here before. I've found separate comments here and there and find it odd he's not talked about more here since there is still a chance to move up in the draft after all. Can he be a darkhorse in this draft or you think he is not going to move the needle for us?

I consider Deni to be a great pick for Orlando... wing playmaker that can also create his own offense. He basically fits the description of what we could use right now.

Deni and Hayes are my 1a. 1b. picks in this draft as “realistic” trade up options.

A lot of press that his jumper has improved over lock-down. Whether that is a practice-J or a game-J remains to be seen though!

I like Nesmith but his game is a little robotic for my taste. He's not a smooth athlete. This obviously has ZERO to do with him being a good NBA player. Just personal preference. I think Vassell's defensive instincts are on another level though, imo.

Replace "Nesmith" with "Redick", and this could have been Jonathan Clay's discussion his draft year.

Nesmith = Ben McLemore

So far, 250+ started games. A career 36.6% long-ball. There is a lot to like about McLemore. And at #15, if the Magic draft a player that has his stat lines, then this will have been a value pick.

Deni seems very mechanical... almost stiff. No fluid movement to his game. You would hope for such a hyped Euro prospect that he would at least be a lights out shooter, but he's not that either. He seems to have slow feet so I worry about his ability to defend NBA caliber wings. I can see that he is unselfish with the ball, but I need more than just being an opportunistic passer.

I could get on board with Hayes, but when I look at his eyes it seems like the light are off. He has no fire about him. I kinda feel the same about Okeke when I view him and I loved Okeke as a prospect. I just don't know if having too many of those types of personalities is a good thing.

Okay, I also like Hayes and believe that we need a PG or SG desperately from this draft.
But I don't consider Hayes being out of our reach with our 15th pick in case we do not trade up in the draft.
Just a quick look at the draft board and the teams ahead of us, I can only see the following two teams taking a PG before us:

1. NYK at 8th (Knicks always try to find a way to screw themselves in the draft one way or another)
2. Wizards at 9th (maybe, depending on the situation with Wall)

New Orleans might also need one if they trade Jrue, but that's not a given. Hayes is not going to be drafted in the top 7 as there are better players before him and none of the teams in the top needs a PG in this draft. SAS and Sac are set at the PG spot, PHX as well after the CP3 trade.
Of course, there is always the possibility of some team missing on their guy and drafting the best player available and it happens to be Hayes at that point.
Having said that there are 3 quality PGs and some of them might go before Hayes hears his name on Wednesday: Haliburton, Kira Lewis, Ball. I really think ORL will either narrowly miss on the opportunity to draft Hayes or might indeed get lucky and he's still on the board by the 15th pick.
This is going to be a wild and unpredictable draft, mark my words.

Ive really tried to come around on Hampton and honestly the only good things i can find about him are that hes fast, and that hes working out with Penny to prepare for the draft. Besides that, im having trouble finding positives

Not a bad option as well. I just hope to all bball gods we draft a scoring SG or PG and not an injured non-shooter with potential on defense and wingspan so he can scratch his toes.

I'll be happy with anyone as usual (besides a few picks I think would be redundant) as long as we give them the chance to develop. People can be talked into/out of any prospect, I remember people here being hesitant on Doncic because of Mario or SGA because of Payton.
