Going through Bucks Twitter is annoying.

Everyone on there expects the Bucks to make a big move while retaining Giannis, Khris, and Brook.

ETA: most also consider Donte untouchable.

Same across all social media, all you see is people wanting Dame, Booker or Beal for like Ersan and Korver.

Hopefully it’s because Giannis just didn’t want to play with him.

Could maybe see NY absorbing Bledsoe but doubt they’d include a pick. It would likely be the other way around. I also don’t think Ersan and Wilson’s salaries are close to matching what BB will make in his first year.

I’m of two minds. It’s definitely annoying when players sign a contract and try to force their way out within a year, but it’s tough to blame guys for wanting to flee garbage franchises like the Kings. Is what it is.

Specially when you remember these guys don't get to choose where they're drafted/traded to and are literally restricted in where they can eventually go to when they can be free agents.

A Bledsoe TPE wouldn't be quite big enough to absorb Rubio. Falls just $125,000 short. Basically just expand the deal to add in NYK, sending #27 to OKC and Rubio to MKE.

MKE: Rubio
NYK: Bledsoe
OKC: Oubre, Jerome, Lecque, #27, PHX '22 1st (Top-10)
PHX: Paul, Nader

Then:

MKE: Bogdanovic (S&T)
SAC: Ilyasova, Wilson, MKE '24 1st, '25 swap rights

Then:

Sign Cousins (Partial MLE)
Sign Wes (Partial MLE)

Rubio / Hill
Bogdanovic / DiVincenzo
Middleton / Matthews
Giannis / #24
Lopez / Cousins

One could argue Bogdan is a much better fit for the team and just simply you can admit mistakes.

That’s what I’m saying. It just doesn’t make sense. That’s better than the reported 28th pick and green.

We all need to be prepared to be disappointed.

To me the only way to make the big move is if you have a perfect combo of disgruntled star and team that doesn’t want to go into a rebuild similar to the Kawhi/Toronto situation. If this opportunity is there and you can cash out on Middleton, you do it. His value will never be lower.

Everyone wants Bledsoe gone. While I understand the sentiment, his value conversely has never been lower. He’s a good basketball player that is likely worth way more to the Bucks on the court than in a trade. I’d be working to get a complimentary player to him that allows him to focus on his strengths and masks his deficiencies. Bogdanovic fits that mold. Can be the ball handler in a half court situation and allows Bledsoe to focus on being a hustle guy on offense and a bulldog on defense.

The best course of action is likely to mostly run it back and hope & pray that the bubble killed the season. Tinkering with ancillary pieces likely won’t change much.

Yes and no. Sports are unique where a guy from Greece is randomly drafted to Milwaukee and fans suddenly expect him to live there for his next 15 years (unless he gets hurt and we decide to trade him).

But these guys also have choices besides demanding trades. We all have the choices in our jobs where pay might might be better in either a crappy field or crappy location. If you are a doctor, you don't sign a premium to work in a remote area, and then tried to get transferred to your preferred location at the same pay. I know there a better jobs than the one I have, but I like pay. If you want to play in New York, 'finish your residency' at non-preferred team, take a discounted contract in New York with player options in case you want out or they think of trading you. I don't blame guys for wanting to live in a different area (I know I would hope I got drafted to an awesome city) but it is tone-deaf and annoying to take the money and then complain about it.

To me, it sounds like Horst is laying back and letting his rivals make big money mistakes then the Bucks come in a trade for a legit #2 while picking up some young snipers from around the globe.
