Who cares what the Nets can offer? No package they offer is really going to be that good, it would be a Barkley package plus some far off picks at best. No stars, all guys looking to get paid in a year or two and who would have Houston over a barrel to pay them. The Nets don't have a high pick to offer, any players with star potential, the only leverage they have is Harden wanting to go there.

If I am Morey I bid only against the value you see and with an eye towards building around Harden as part of your core, which means not emptying the asset vaults and getting some financial breathing room. We aren't a team desperate because of a closing window or chasing that first star. No matter who the incoming player is you work to win the trade, otherwise you are taking a step or more backwards for a name.

I just massively disagree.. that starting 5 compliments eachother on offense insanely well

We have already been over how defense is more scheme and effort, its been proven over n over

If they play just league average defense that is a title contender

What's the point if Harden doesnt' want to be here. Harden is good, but he's not Kawhi good...

Hes 2 years team owned idgaf what he prefers

So we are in dialogue?

The **** man.. just trade him already this isnt allen iverson in his prime

Right, that’s why we don’t want to trade him. Those Iverson years were rough. Loved his effort, but little fella never got it.

That's a troll masterclass move. You can always say Ainge is involved and when nothing materializes you can claim Ainge thought the cost was too high. :D

I'll refrain from commenting on this insider. I got scolded the last time I commented on an insider.

Scolded by Howard Mass himself.

More interested in figuring how to get Covington back at this point tbh. Scott, Zhaire 21 and 35?

To all of the guys who think we can get Harden without giving up Ben. Celtics beat that offer by Kemba+Langford +Williams+picks. Kemba is miles better than Harris, youngs are as unproven as ours and they have more picks.

That's how laughable your arguments are.

So this makes much more sense. And there's no need to argue about the semantical value of Levert and Dinwiddie vs Harris and Richardson in regards to a megastar like Harden

Houston at the moment, whether it be posture or not, is unwilling to engage unless Irving or Simmons are on the board

Agreed. Still, the Celtics always cause the blood pressure to rise a couple points even in fabricated stories.

The Celtics could surely put together a better package than the Sixers, they are asset heavy, as always, though if I am Houston I ask for Tatum, and when they say no, start building a larger package around Jaylen Brown, not Kemba. Houston is going into a rebuild, Kemba is a now player, not a build around player. Obviously they have to throw in more around Brown, but on the Houston side Kemba is getting near his decline phase, unless you have plans to flip him somewhere else the deal should be Brown, younger guys and picks.

I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying that our non-Ben offer can be beat by Celtics F-level offer, that's how laufhable it is.

Any offer can be beat hypothetically. That adds nothing to the conversation

I'm not a millennial so I'm not sure about the urban lingo here. But apparently he's calling cap or no cap? Mean everything is a lie or true?

I dunno...

This has been a crazy offseason even though it's been on day. Not sure I can survive till the trade deadline

More info about us wanting Jrue...

I like Jrue, but I don't think that puts us over the top. Especially if Harden goes to BK.

Ainge would throw his hat in the ring just to try to make us or the Nets pay more.

He pulled the same move with Anthony Davis who told everybody and their mother that he hated Boston and would never play there.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
