Really solid shooter with better upside with more open looks on a better team. Good energy, hard worker, very nice ball handler plus another international guy for Giannis.

Wouldn’t GS just cut us out and take Harden for themselves?

He's literally handicapped himself by forcing the team to resign Middleton and Bledsoe, saying no to Paul and Harden and who knows who else. Yet the team "needs to make the right moves."

Maybe the right move is shipping him out for a nice package of picks / young talent.

When was he hired as GM? I must've missed that in the news cycle

Just watched the Horst press conference from today. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but he seemed pretty composed, confident and relaxed for a guy who has one month to make sure Giannis doesn't walk. That leads me to believe he has something planned.

I could totally see Giannis not wanting the Bucks to go after other "stars". Wanting to instead play with underrated, high character, high work ethic guys. Other foreign players as well. Pretty much the Dirk Mavs championship path.

I mean they could. Pretty much all of the GS fans I've spoken to are fine with their side of this trade though.

Basically the Heat nowadays aside from a surplus of foreign players. Get guys that can work together, nobody holds the ball longer than a few seconds mostly. Need to have willing, smart warriors out there. Dont need players that want to stop ball movement in this system.

All that **** goes out the window if you're not winning titles. And Giannis wants to win titles. Besides, Milwaukee isn't the only place he can play that will surround him with the pieces needed to win championships.

In terms of being a championship caliber move, I think it depends on whether you think the 2019 playoffs or 2020 playoffs are more indicative of how close the Bucks are. Personally I think the 2019 playoffs were much more revealing and it's much harder to draw durable conclusions from 2020.

I think Brogdon's injuries alone were enough to justify letting him go. But notwithstanding that, Bogdan has a quicker release and is more likely to be able to hit 40% on higher volume without having to be wide open. He also seems more willing to attempt the long 3's. Brogdon's 2020 season really vindicated those of us who doubted that his slow release and reluctance to attempt anything but the most wide open 3's from right behind the arc would translate to sustained efficiency in the more featured role he wanted.

I also strongly feel there was a little more "get mine" in Brogdon's approach. He pounded the ball more than Bogdan when left to his own devices and he gets some tunnel vision. Better at spamming the two-man game with a big like Monroe early in his career and then Sabonis than as a true floor general keeping everyone involved. Not that Bogdan is a floor general either, but he seems to understand the whole "shoot, drive, or pass right away" principle better than Brogdon. Brogdon's desire to get out of Milwaukee and be the second-rate go-to guy on a lesser team does raise some fair questions.

...and that's why the Heat strike me as a legitimate contender to sign him in free agency.

I think Horst's plan is all shooters next to Giannis, especially at PG. I don't see Rubio in the plans.

That would be a bad plan then since Giannis' decision making when pressured is very suspect.

Didn't Horst trade for and extend a non-shooter in Bledsoe?

No ones giving up anything positive for Blake Griffin in 2020.

I'd take that bet. He only has this year and next year on his deal.

I wonder how the Paul deal effects the landscape of the West. Does that make Dallas more inclined to trade for Bledsoe? Does Portland get in the mix? Operating under my belief that Giannis will not be joining Luka's Mavs or Dame's Blazers.
