Milwaukee's defense got exposed in the playoffs. They had to do this as Giannis is a generational talent and u can't have him leave under any circumstances. Bledsoe is good but it isn't like his skill set can't be replaced cheaper.

Its kinda like choosing if Jordan stays or you choose to lose 3 round picks instead. You keep Jordan 10/10

3 picks, two swaps, Bledsoe and Hill? Is that right? Jrue is a good player, but that's just highway robbery by the Pelicans. Wtf are the Bucks thinking here. And that 2022 pick in the deep draft is not going to be a bad pick no matter what. Wondering if that's a swap or pick.

Yeah I'm concerned, this isn't a home run. But it's at least a solid at bat.

If it was a wing closer though then they'd certainly be one of if not the favorite for the ship.

They need a Jimmy Butler, not a Jrue Holiday.

But yeah it's a solid at bat. Keeps things interesting.

Hopefully if Harden goes to Philly the East can regain some much needed strength conference balance wise.

Ya I blasted Griffin with my first post, but that was before I realized it was 3 picks and 2 swaps. And Bledsoe and Hill are very tradeable contracts. I wont be shocked if neither play a game in a Pels uniform.

So from the Pels standpoint, this has major homerun potential if Giannis and Jrue dont resign. Like Nets/Celtics home run kind of potential. But even if those 2 do resign, it is still solid assets to have going forward and nice things to have to throw into trade deals to sweeten the pot.

Yeah not a lot has changed in Milwaukee. They’ve now lost depth with Hill and Matthews, lost all trade capital for future potential deals, and added a guy who does everything Bledsoe did but a bit better, but also who has the exact same weaknesses.

Come playoff time you’re gonna sag off everyone except Middleton from 3, and pack the paint and force Giannis to be a jump shooter. They desperately need a guy to run PnR with Giannis whose even a slight threat to kill you in the step in 3

And its clear that dpeth never mattered. Hill was awful in the bubble. Bledsoe proved he was literally unplayable in the playoffs. Wes was okay, but they can find a guy like that for cheap.

Insane overpay for the Bucks imo.
Couldn't they have gotten Beal for this offer? I know Jrue is a good defender but shot making and playmaking is a much more valuable commodity.
Hope it works out for them tbh. I have to assume this st least came with a guarantee from Giannis that he'd sign the supermax, a la the Clippers trade for PG

What does New Orleans do with Eric Bledsoe now? They have options now to turn the pieces from Milwaukee they've acquired into more value to grow on.

I don't think this trade puts them over the top at all tbh. Their bench is weak af and Giannis still has to grow so much as a player before they're legit in the halfcourt. But a starting line up of

Is a hell of a starting line up and they'll be able to score and defend with the best of em in the regular season.

Still need a backup PG, would love bogdon and a 3/4 type guy who play in a giannis at center lineup. If they could just get bogdon now somehow that would make me feel way better. You onyl need 8. THe bucks bench was trash during the playoffs when it mattered.

Yea ideally DDV wouldn't start. I just couldn't think of anyone on the roster at that position currently. I agree Bog would be a great get as he would be with the spacing. Part of me just wishes you guys went for a real second option for giannis. In the playoffs, the halfcourt is his kryptonite currently. Also, this bench is extremely thin and I'm not sure how much better it can get. But you don't need much from bench scoring, but you'll need something from your role players and you guys have none atm.

I think this trade is not as bad as people are making it out to be, assuming Giannis stays. These Milwaukee picks will almost all certainly be deep in the first round in the 25-30 range. Over the course of five drafts, what does that come out to? Maybe a Mitchell Robinson, a Landry Shamet, and then a Jordan Poole, a Jerome Robinson, and a Romeo Langford. Not really a big loss.

They dont get the 2022 pick. That pick is already being sent to Cleveland. It will most likely be the
