Jrue is a good player but he’s a one time all star getting a PG13 type haul from the Bucks.

They probably have some top 10 protections on those picks, and if the Bucks remain contenders and keep Giannis happy those picks won’t be that valuable.

Wow, this is reminiscent of the OKC heist by trading away PG. Not quite as bad but Giannis put the Bucks in a desperate situation to mortgage their future just like what Kawhi did with the Clippers.

I think they gave up too much but it'll all be worth it if they can win a chip out of it. I'm not convinced at this point.

I'm choosing to view this as a Jrue + Giannis signs the supermax deal and will either be relieved that I'm right or have a nuclear meltdown on here in a couple weeks

Have you ever watched Jrue play? He's good, inconsistent, doesn't get to the line...but he isn't a creator- at least not for others in any meaningful way. He's that combo guard that can play point but isn't a special passer at all.

He's missed 109 games in the last 6 years and has only played more than 67 games 1 time in that span. You can basically pencil him in to miss 15-20 games per year

To be fair the bulk of that was a stress fracture he had early in the trade to NO where Philly failed to disclose the injury. He re aggravated it and set im back.

Also, he missed a bunch of games supporting his wife after brain surgery.

this would make more sense if it was CP3....but for Jrue? seems like a plan B desperation move....if it gets Giannis to re-sign for the supermax then I guess it doesn't really matter how bad of a trade it is.
