I guess horst felt he'd just waste those picks anyway on dj wilson type players

Wow. That's news. If it keeps Giannis here forever, I'm all for it. That's about all I got.

You might want to ask Dame Lillard about this opinion

Yeah, Holiday/AD/Rondo embarrassed the Blazers who had HCA. He had an amazing series for whatever that's worth

This is a bit confusing to me, I guess the main implication is that getting Bogdan here would require some behind the scenes help from the Kings to facilitate this similar to what we did for Brogdon? How confident are we that they will help us out here?

Bledsoe sucked ass in the playoffs but he was a good player and I think whatever team he ends up on will like him. In a perfect world the difference between him and Jrue surely isn't 3 firsts and pick swaps but I do think Jrue brings a few things that make the game much easier for us to work around a possibly not ideal fit at point guard next to Giannis that Bledsoe didn't.

But yes, if this is the move that means Giannis signs on the dotted line, then sure, it's the right choice. That doesn't change that we basically gave up the Paul George/Anthony Davis trade package for like, the 31st best player in the league.

Didn’t Covington go for two first? Maybe the market is just inflated this year.

I just want to hop in here as these draft assets are actually very similar in overall value imo. Portland sent out #16 in this years draft plus what will most likely be a late teens to early twenties pick in next years loaded draft. Assuming we've got the Giannis supermax in the bag, we're sending out #24 plus two very late picks far out. The pick swaps in this trade are pretty meaningless. When all is said and done I wouldn't be surprised if Portland ended up giving up more draft capital than we did.

Just feels like we mortgaged the next half decade of draft capital for a guy who's a marginal upgrade over Bledsoe and who doesn't even address our biggest needs on offense. Also not feeling too comfortable having to judge personnel moves based on what "Giannis wants". It's either a good move that helps us win a championship, or it's a bad move.

All that said, It's done, and I'm off to watch Jrue Holiday highlight videos and get myself hyped up.

This has to be the subtext of the deal. Otherwise it’s an awful overpay. I like Jrue but not this much. But if it comes with a supermax from GA, it’s all good.

We need 8 guys when it matters. If they get rid of DiVincenzo, Ilyasova & Wilson for Bogdan we are at 5. I guess you sign some cheap guys and hope to pick someone up at the deadline. Make it happen. tired of the pretend depth we had the last two years.

Didn't want to admit it, but always figured Bogdan would cost Donte.

What if Giannis is really an evil mofo and did the hand-shake with Horst, all while planning on eventually signing with New Orleans.

Sorry, not funny.

Yes, they would need to help us out, but not in the same way we did for Brogdon. Indiana could have signed Brogdon outright and dared us to match but they chose not to. We can't sign him on our own and need the cooperation from the Kings. And while Bogdan probably prefers to play in Milwaukee over Atlanta or Sacramento, he'll leverage the **** out of all 3 sides to get the most $ while landing where he wants to land.

If there was ever a trade that is tough to quantify in stats like this, it's this one.

Has that guy ever watched a bucks playoff game?

No he’s a Utah asshat who happens to own a nice podcast company

We're all debating little details while Horst is playing 3D chess.

Am I the only one to be a bit sad at losing Hill? He has been one of our best players and was so good in that sixth man role. He wasn’t himself in the bubble but was really good the RS before Covid. Not sure how we plug that gap.

If it meant giving up our next ten 1st round picks to keep Giannis, you still do it.
