I'm not sure why I feel bad for a guy who is going to make over $100M playing basketball, but I do kind of feel bad for Rubio. Super nice guy, from all accounts, and decent player that no one seems to like enough to keep around.

I could see the suns sneaking into the top 4

Certainly possible, depends on what else happens, but I would wager against it...... OKC is killing it on the trade market.......

Chicago extended a qualifying offer to Denzel Valentine but not Kris Dunn or Shaq Harrison

Things are getting crazy!

Covington to POR for two firsts.

Holiday to MIL for 3 firsts, 2 first round swaps, Bledsoe and Hill

I love Jrue, but that's just flat out really stupid right? Like man, having these perennial All Stars on your team just be a good point of leverage, not forcing you into terrible trades...

You do whatever it takes to win this year. Your future is irrelevant if Giannis leaves. This is their best shot to win a championship, even if it’s guaranteed that Giannis leaves....you still do this trade because you won’t get a better chance.

Bucks getting little Bogdanovic as well in a S&T.

So much for all the fans around the league dreaming of their team stealing Giannis in free agency. :waaa:

You are indeed right. Honestly the more I think about it the more it makes sense. Sure you are putting a shorter window for your championship by hamstringing your future, but tbh if they don’t win a championship in a year or two Giannis might be gone anyways.

If we decided to give up Rudy I imagine we could indeed get a pretty good deal right now. Maybe even get both of GSW good picks if they wanted Rudy.

I mean... until he re-signs nothing is done. For all we know they might not look great next year and he still leaves.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Seems like there is a premium to be paid to get great players via trade.I would be looking at Golden State and saying there’s no better win now player you can get. If Jrue can get 3 firsts and 2 swaps, we need the 2nd pick and the Wolves pick next year

I guess I missed the part where Jrue became a superstar. Yeah he is a good player but 3 first and 2 pick swaps plus a solid player in Bledsoe for him seems crazy to me.

While Dunn is an amazing defender, my concern is that the Jazz could be playing 4 vs 5 on offense with their system and the fact that Dunn can't hit long shots and thus won't be guarded.

On an expiring contract to boot! The Bucks did have to go all in to keep Giannis and go for a chip, though. If you think about it, it will end up being two players picked in the 20s. The pick swaps are probably meaningless. Bledsoe wasn't working and Hill is getting over the hill.
