I mentioned this over at the T&T forum, someone said that it may not be as bad as it would normally sound because of covid. Lots of zoom stuff going on.

Still, there's got to be some value in seeing things in person.

I haven't heard a peep from McNair at all since the pressers early on. Eerily quiet.

Pokusevski is #20 on that mock draft and hasn't had any workouts or measurements posted. If there's a promise I definitely wouldn't be mad. Otherwise yeah, teams are restricted to 10 in-person workouts and quite a few of those players are either redundant with Fox or Bagley or definitely going to be gone before #12 (some players like Patrick Williams shut it down and have promises higher than the Kings, and it's not like you'd need an in-person workout with Wiseman, Ball, or Edwards to take them if they were somehow still on the board).

But id be surprised if a new FO took the Poku plunge. I’d sooner expect a higher floor like Achiuwa, who they’ve spoken to if they went big

Could mean that the pick is in a deal. I’d see the at as much more likely in this situation. Why talk to guys you aren’t really drafting?

Because teams start collecting profiles on most players. Combine interviews are used as data collection for future moves well beyond the draft.

Yes, you can interview whoever. The tweet was talking about players who said they had an in-person workout, of which each team is only allowed 10 due to covid.

Pokusevski is 2+ years younger than Achiuwa and has a different level of upside. Precious is a strange player to mention as far as floor when there are players in a similar mold like Tyler Bey or Paul Reed who are more NBA ready and may be available in the 2nd round. Also for basically every prospect the 'floor' is that they're not good enough to contribute at the NBA level, in which case the pick's a miss whether the player is just hanging around the NBA as a 12th man or back in the 2nd division in Greece; obviously in just about every year you can find total busts even among players who were consensus top 5 picks.

Wow Patrick Williams going 4th. I knew he was rising, but didn't expect that. Will be interesting to see who falls.

This is awesome. Casuals I know "why did sac draft a 2nd pg " im like just wait and see!

I've seen some people say hes got SGA written all over him? Went around same spot in draft. Fox with SGA type would be exciting as hell!
