Kings fans will very much like Donte and the Fox/Donte backcourt will be really fun. People will question the value but I think actual Gm's understood that Donte was a pretty damn good chip.

Its addition by subtraction, if they want too keep Hield, he has more playing time and can be a full time starter, they dont need to care about matching freakish offers and still got Donte, I liked a lot to watch him last season, he plays with a lot of effort

In a vacuum he's a better piece to have than Bogdan; the Bucks are just in win-now mode and need shooting more than anything else.

Which kind of gun would be best to point at him when forcing him to sign with your team, 9mm or .357 mag?

Well, if the whole idea that you lost value is based off an idea of leverage that you concocted, versus actual value, then there is an another alternative. The world just didn't go along with your leverage idea.
