Kings are giving up Justin James too, so that's a little more tilted towards the Bucks when he's worth having around more than Wilson or Ilyasova.

But do think that is very wasteful. For both sides honestly.

OKC could have taken back more bad salary from third team trade thanks to the extra money Phoenix was taking on, right? Presti losing that 6-7 million of salary eating potential is small I understand - but wasteful and weird. He’s smarter than that.

Some of us have been arguing that being an over the cap team and keeping both Saric/Baynes and MLE is better than trying free agency for 15 pages or so. OKC gets a tpe, which is less flexible but still something.

I feel like when things start popping off quick like this where there is a lot of talk and big movement going on, there is always that under the radar big move that comes out of nowhere even though there was no rumor about it. I could see something random like a KAT trade or something before the draft.

I think Riley may chase Gallinari now long term. Dragic, Hero, Nunn, Robinson, Butler, Bam, Gallinari. They gave everyone in the East fits without Gallinari. Adding him will only make them better. Scary thought, add Serge with a MLE. Gallinari offense plus Serge defense added to that team would look pretty stout.

I wonder if the NBA is going to disallow this Bogdan trade due to tampering. Everyone knows it happens but this being leaked so early could be seen as blatant and not taken kindly by the league office.

Still, even in the wake of O’Connor’s report, we didn’t expect to learn so early in the week that the Kings and Bucks have already reached an agreement. Since Bogdanovic will technically be a free agent, he and Milwaukee aren’t supposed to have any contact until Friday, so the NBA likely won’t be thrilled that news of this deal has already leaked.

I don't think so as its viewed as giving teams unfair advantage. That is the reason for the rule. Everyone gets a equal chance talk starting the 1st day.

Two players Atlanta interested in go elsewhere. I see the Hawks still trying to get someone for 6 but they are not selling the farm. Imagine if they helped get Harden to Miami. #6 for Herro and 20. 6 goes to Houston.

I wondered about this too. Couldn’t the Kings just claim they reached a contract agreement with Bogdanovic (who they can speak to) and then agreed in principal to a deal with the Bucks. Bogdanovic agreed to the parameters of the deal but then was traded?

Or would that be against the rules too since u can’t sign a free agent and trade him until whatever the date typically is several months after the season starts?

I can see the hope for him. But like most rookies he needs to check his shot selection. .428 FG% is not horrible for a rookie but its nothing to write home about.

Trae improved from .418 to .437 and I would like to see .440 to .450 on a yearly basis.

He also shot nearly 50% of his attempts from 3. His advanced stats are somewhat pedestrian, but his eye test passes with a huge A on offense IMO. I really buy the poor mans Ray Allen comparisons.

A sign and trade contract is different from a regular signing. If they agreed to a deal with him, he’s ineligible to be traded until January since they used bird rights to sign him. If they agreed to a sign and trade (and he’d have to agree), the contract is different, and if he’s not traded ASAP the deal is null and void. There’s no plausible deniability here.
