But will they do anything in the finals, they got exposed a bit this year

And they’ve now mortgaged their future because they won’t have any 1st round picks for eons.

All for Jrue Holiday???

I'm sure they checked with their star player before making these moves, kinda like we did with Batum before trading a first round pick for Belinelli.

Bucks lineup is now:

Jrue-Bogdanovic-Middleton-Giannis-Brook Lopez

Which I think is balanced nicely on both ends of the floor. They lost pretty much all their depth, but when you are a top 5 team in the NBA you can always find solid rotation players on the cheap.

Wilson, Divencenzo, Ilyasova were set to make 14.5 million combined this year for a group that collectively average under 20 ppg. Bogdanovic plus the 2 extra roster spots are way more valuable moving forward.

Think two firsts for Jrue was solid value, fact they gave up 3 firsts (2 pick swap rights- most likely wont matter) and two solid rotation guards is nuts.

Same time I kind of hate the deal for Pelicans. I think they would of been better to get one premium asset for Holiday rather than a bunch of late round picks. For instance I would rather have Atlanta 6th pick and a young player (Reddish or Hunter).

Portland potential wings now of Dame- CJ- Roco is improvement for sure, but felt like Ariza and 1 first should of gotten it done (especially the 16th pick which is nearly lottery). I get why they did it, but Houston won this trade easily. Gives them way more flexibility moving forward with being able to actually draft young players or attaching these picks to move Westbrook.

Ranking these 4 teams transactions I would say
1. Houston
2. Portland
3. Milwaukee
4. Pelicans

If Antetokounmpo signs the super max than the trade(s) were worth it. Losing him means losing the franchise. This team will be the favorites for next year. It's a lot to give up and if they did it without knowing Giannis would resign then it was short sighted. So many ways for this to go bad if he leaves.

That Jrue trade is EXACTLY why you never let a star in his prime walk away. Imagine how much better our future looks if we had retained Kemba on the contract he wanted (less than the regular max, remember that), and traded him for even half the return Milwaukee sent for Jrue Holiday, a worse player.

Hell, I'll even take a Robert Covington level return over nothing.

Covington is good. He'll certainly be better than whoever gets picked at 16 in this draft. Makes sense for a win now team like Portland. It's a short term move but Dame is 30 and it's now or never.

i wonder if Milwaukee would be interested in Rozier, he could play alongside Jrue.

DiVencenzo would be a nice pick up

I know that might sound bizarre, but the suns do not need to worry about injury to Booker because Ty'shon Alexander has the potential to be a franchise player. They signed him to a two-way. He will be signed soon.

At least you can admit it. NBA size, asserts himself, uses his body, underated athlete, skilled dribbler, passer, scorer, shooter, plays intense, changes pace, high IQ.

I am glad he did that too. Not everybody needs to move to LA or Miami and chase rings with their superstar "friends". I like the old "stick with your team and try to win it" even if it takes a few years as long as the franchise is respecting and properly valuing the "Franchise". Clearly Milwaukee was trying their best to get Giannis a good supporting cast. I hope they can actually beat the Lakers somehow.
