I will now present to the court my first recorded mention of Bogdan Bogdanovic in February of 2014.

Giannis gonna average a triple-double next year.

I traveled to the Balkans for work about 6 years ago, and fell in love with the region. Its like the Milwaukee of Europe . Which I found endearing.

I have had a Chuck Diesel like love of Serbs ever since. Bogdanovic is going to be the best shooting guard we have had since Ray. And he has some developmental upside left, probably not physically but I think Bud's system will get him better looks. His length is better than casual fans realize. And he has some fiestiness to him, as anyone who knows about the Balkans would know that Serbs have.

I was underwhelmed with the payout of the Holiday trade. But when you can compliment Holiday with a young wing with height and deep range, I think it is going to make our offense very difficult to stop. Another thing I haven't seen mentioned yet, is that all five of our starters have average or better than average court vision and basketball IQ.

I'm very excited at the top of our roster, this squad has a chance to be one of my all time league favorites (which I base on memorable players, unique styles, and great chemistry).

I am very excited to see the starting line up go at it. We start the season in about one month, so it won't be a long wait at all.

You are acting like how I would be if we got Smart. I am very jealous. If it works out you have at least 5 years of taking victory laps. If it doesn't work out, you will be sent to Realgm jail.

29% and 26% on catch-and-shoot 3's the last 2 seasons too. Jrue was 36% and 35%. That's a huge difference

Just watching some Bogdan highlights. I was pleasantly surprised at how well he shoots coming off screens, especially moving to his left. This could be a nice weapon if it's integrated into the offense. Unlike Korver, Bogdan is also effective curling off the screens. I will be really disappointed if Bud plants Bogdan on the perimeter, and puts the entire offense on Giannis's shoulders again.

Think we now have three starters that can effectively run PnR. Hoping for an offense with Giannis as the best roll man in the league getting lobs and dunks or Middleton/Bogdan raining open threes.

I'm surprised Bledsoe was THAT bad on catch and shoot 3s. Now that I think about it, it seemed like the only 3s he ever hit were those in-rhythm above-the-break 3s that came while we were already on a 20-2 run.

Always been curious, do they get brand new flags for every international player or is there a flag room in the training center where they’re all stored for reuse? Wonder if they’ll dust off Miroslav’s Serbian colors or get a new one for Bogi. Do they have a giant flag guy? Need some answers. Will ask around.

I get that Giannis wanted Bogdan, so we had to do it, but every all encompassing metric says Donte is better, and he's $11 million cheaper per year, and younger. Its a bad trade without James.

We can agree to disagree, but you can't start DDV and expect him to be a solid player in that role. He's 6th man/role player at best right now. We are looking to win now. Bogdan is what we needed. IMO this trade was much better than the Jrue trade.

Guys on NBA radio to a man said getting jrue was a massive upgrade over what the bucks had and the trade wasnt 1 sided cause if giannis reups hes worth those 3 first rounders.
They said without bogdan jrue along puts the bucks a step above everyone in the East

Doesn't change my point about the future. If we resign Holiday, we are looking at 140m for our top 5 guys in 22/23. If we get a MLE guys, that's 160+m for top 6, 3 of which would be pretty old at that point. I'm all in, but this could blow up too

Great point. I completely agree with you - and I think Horst dramatically improved Jrue's bargaining power - which could totally mess up the 21/22 roster... which nobody cares about right now but will surely be complaining about later.

Also heard on NBA radio that they wouldnt be surprised if jrue did a hand shake (wink) that he will resign when giannis does

The Bogdan trade is one of the best trades the Bucks did since they got Giannis.

Anyone that thinks that Bogdan is going to pass or even hesitate for a second if he is a millisecond open has no idea the type of player he is.

That is exactly the type of SG you need next to Giannis and Khris.

The Bucks starting 5 are absolutely insane in terms of fit and extremely good in terms of skill (and the best starting 5 they have had since they got Giannis)

I'm into these trades for the excitement alone. But you've hit on the main point: will any of this matter come playoffs if Bud doesn't run plays to each player's strengths and more importantly, adjust when it's not working.
