If I had to pick one it would be Buddy. I don’t like Bogdan inconsistency.

But to me now, the answer is neither. It’s justin James/and or our draft picks or young FAs. We need to be rebuilding, not keeping treadmill players

Agree. If I have to choose, I'd prefer Buddy because he has elite skill. Bogi is better overall but not good enough in anything to use him as some one to build aroud. We are not at position to overpay role players.

Wait, Buddy is consistent?

They are inconsistent for different reasons

With Bogdan I believe it’s motor

Buddy always plays hard but was put in different positions this year by Luke and was coming off Covid in the bubble

Exactly. It's hard to be consistent when you are constantly yanked around the rotation and in respect to what you are asked to do. Running the offense from the bench was likely not Buddy's idea. Whoevers idea it was can go away. Problem solved.

It’s been tight lipped. No rumors at all. If they’ve learned anything from Vlade, it’s that it’s good to keep things quiet. Just hopefully we don’t get a rumor that we had a good GM candidate two days ago.

Alvin Gentry being hired as a assistant? Color me cautious. He's overqualified as an assistant and apparently had other suitors, meaning he might think he has a shot at being head coach here (and IMO he should have no shot at that)

I agree.

Gentry will be at the top of the list or near it if and when Walton gets fired. Gentry is a fine assistant but a terrible head coach.

One step forward, two steps back imo.

Luke and Gentry worked together in Golden State, I don't think there's really anything to look into here. People were saying the same thing about Igor when he got hired.

This. Strong minded move by Luke. Realizing he could use some help, and went out and got a guy hes worked with and had success with.

Gentry should help the Kings have some semblance of a working offense.

This move does nothing for me either way at this point. I think it ultimately comes down to intentions and execution. If Gentry was hired as Luke's guy as Carmichael Dave is suggesting, then I don't think the intention is to set up a coup.

However, if they do end up firing Luke after this season, then how they execute the following hire could be in jeopardy by hiring someone like Gentry since it will open up the possibility of taking the easy way out (financially) and naming him head coach. That, I'm nervous for.

But there's no way to know either or those yet so, at this point, the only thing I'm focused on is what McNair does with moves/picks.

Both things can be true.

Adding Gentry to the mix will increase synergy between the offensive and defensive schemes of the team. So, in theory, we should see a better system in place next year.

If Walton fails to meet expectations, I see Gentry at the top of the list to manage the Kings.

Even if he is Luke’s guy, I’d still think Gentry could believe in his own mind that this is the path to easiest become head coach again

Giles probably won’t be here (which I personally don’t mind).

Is there something wrong with Len?

Nothing I've heard.

I took a look at some of the FA centers, Meyers Leonard can space the floor some, Kosta is rumored to want to come back to the NBA. Otherwise no other thoughts.

I'm putting my money on Giles being in a Celtics uniform next season. He's great friends with Tatum and I think he would thrive in Brad Stevens offensive system playing out of the high post.

Not a bad bet. It would make sense also, the Celtics ran that 3 center platoon last season as well.

Theis - 24mpg
Williams - 13.5mpg
Kanter - 17mpg

That probably goes well with his health. He could probably take Kanters minutes and potentially provide an upgrade.

His defence doesn't fit Celtics. Harry is awful rim protector and can't play against wings as well.
He needs a lot of time to learn and become bigger and stronger. Celtics are not at the situation to wait and develop him carefully.

He's not any worse than Kanter on defense. I've been seeing they might bring Baynes back too so they'd have a 4 big rotation of Baynes, Theis, Wiliams and Giles to throw out there depending on the situation.
