Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
Getting two picks in tomorrow's draft is nice. Might be able to find a role player there somewhere. Maybe you can snag Jahmius Ramsey or Cassius Stanley. Two good 3 and D prospects.

just wondering if his production could be replaced with lower salaries and a better fit(more athletic sniper)? Then maybe we have more room to fill out the roster. Can Khris score without dominating the ball, he's a TO machine.
He’s a perfect fit with the players we’ve traded for.
Agreed - and he's hardly a TO machine. He average 2.2 TO's a game vs 4.3 assists. I'll take that ratio every day from a forward.

If I'm Giannis the only thing that would keep me in Milwaukee is the money, I wouldn't sign long term here. I don't think Holiday or Bogdanovic are elite level players and if Holiday opts out after 1 year, you have no means to improve this team for the next several years because of how NO fleeced you on the unprotected and ability to flip picks.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
So let me update a bit...
1. Middleton.....$33,051,724
2. Giannis........$27,528,088
3. Holiday........$26,231,111
4. Bogdan........$16,285,000
5. Brook..........$12,697,675
6. MLE............$8,585,764
7. Thanasis......$1,701,593
8. James.........$1,517,981
9. #42.............$898,310
10. #60...........$898,310
5x$898,310......$4,491,550
- Leuer............$3,169,348
- Sanders.........$1,865,546
- total............$138,928,000
At this point Bucks can use almost their full MLE assuming they fill the roster with rookies. Still don't know what Bogdan signed for. 16,285 mil seems to be the highest according to the trade, but maybe there is a discount hidden. Still don't know if Leuer's money can magically somehow disappear.
Edit: Assuming Bucks flip James for another SRP, they already have the whole MLE (9,2mil) available. They badly need that discount from Bogdan to get some vets instead of rookies. They can also keep 1-2 spots open for some vets from the buyout market too.

Why would that happen? I don’t see that happening.
Yeah have heard this speculation a few places and don't really get it. Given he retired for medical reasons, what's the evidence that injury took place between the time the Bucks got him and cut him (June 20th-July 9th 2019)?
Maybe he'll stand by his local team & help them out.

Khris is elite. Bogs is young enough to get there. Holiday is pretty damn solid.
Giannis is cut from a different cloth than LeBron, Harden, KD. He's not taking that route.

We’ve assembled arguably the best starting 5 in the entire NBA and Giannis should go to a different team?

Could they backload Bogdan's deal? Maybe he takes a pay cut on the front end of things to allow for flexibility?

Since you can't sign rookies to more than 2 years unless you use cap space or part of an exception we'll be dipping for that into the MLE anyway.

What a night to fall asleep early. Now I’m slacking at work.
I was juuussst about to put my phone down before turning it in. Ended up staying up way too late on multiple text chains, haha. Still riding those good vibe fumes. But yeah, slacking is an understatement. I've done about 30 minutes of actual work in 4 hours at the office.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
Pretty cool that Horst managed to get the 42 and 60. I wonder if the focus in that range will be on combo guards or guys who can guard 3-5. I've seen Paul Reed mocked in that mid 2nd round range, maybe he makes sense for this team.
I think this Bucks team will do pretty well with scrap heap guys. Most of the on-ball creation can be handled by always having two of the core four on the court -- Holliday, Middleton, Bogs, and Giannis. You can get away with grabbing shooters with minimal ball creation skills and stick them into lineups where Middleton and Holliday are the two main ball-handlers.
If you want to go that route, I think Glenn Robinson III makes a lot of sense. His statistical production for the tanking Warriors was identical to what Harrison Barnes gave the 2016-2017 team, albeit on slightly higher volume 3 point shooting. He's not as athletic as Barnes and can't guard the 4, but he's decently smart player. Doesn't make lots of mistakes, keeps the ball moving, and isn't a total disaster when he has to put the ball on the floor.
I also think Omari Spellman would be a great pickup if Minnesota will take a lightly protected 2nd rounder for him. Spellman is a legitimate stretch 5. His weight might be an issue, but all indications are that he works hard when he feels appreciate and supported and I think having a chance to play for a contending team would keep him engaged. As the year went on, Spellman showed the ability to attack closeouts and explode to the rim. He's a nearly 40% three point shooter, crashes the offensive boards, and is mobile enough to not be a mess defensively. He's the type of guy who can play the 5 next to Giannis and provide floor spacing and some moderate rim protection for cheap. He also wouldn't be the type of guy that needs 15-20 minutes a game, so between Lopez and Giannis you have most of your minutes at the 5 covered with a young guy that can get reps over the course of the year.
I've seen some people mention Langston Galloway. Alec Burks is a name I've thrown out, but I think he makes less sense now that Bogdanovic is a Buck. Burks is a better pull-up shooter than catch and shoot, so I think that skillset might be less important now.

No. Bucks can use the BAE to sign up to four undrafted rookies without touching the MLE.

Jrue/Bogdanovic/Middleton alone as a big three would be pretty tough to guard.

When we're talking about filling out the roster, I wouldn't rule out a one for two trade involving Brook Lopez.
