This is great news. I'd still buy another 2nd rounder if we can get another around that 42nd pick.

Do we know yet if this was just bought for cash or part of the Holiday trade?

I believe part of the trade

Losing two totally unprotected future picks sucks, but the third one becomes just a trade down from #24 to #42 + #60. That makes it two neutral contracts + two and a half picks for a player that could easily net #6 from Atlanta in terms of value. Not that bad.

Yep. He was the only player who showed up for that Heat series besides Giannis/Midds. He's the perfect small ball five to have out their in the playoffs in case Brook's shot isn't dropping or the Bucks have to go full switch.

He was oddly Bud's break glass in case of emergency plan. Everything going wrong, no idea how to fix it? F it, put in DJ Wilson and see what happens.

They appear to be from the trade. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/30333660/sources-milwaukee-bucks-agree-deals-new-orleans-pelicans-jrue-holiday-sacramento-kings-bogdan-bogdanovic

Btw, the 2 other firsts the Bucks gave up (beside the Indiana FRP in tomorrow's draft were UNPROTECTED 2025 and 2027.

Marvin was brutally destroyed by Bam, and the Bucks cratered when he was on the floor.

Marvin back on the minimum would be huge. ShootingtheJ must’ve been mistakenly rewatching “VORP: Uncensored and Barely Legal”

Marvin at the minimum was decidedly not huge last year. Another year older and less interested in basketball, eh....

Give me some random euro name instead.

Stephan A. made a case for the Bucks still trading Giannis after these trades.

Hah, his case was basically "If the Bucks don't make the Finals, I doubt Giannis stays, so they should trade him at the deadline" as if we'll know if the Bucks would make the Finals at the deadline. It's pretty obvious they're trying to channel their sadness that they won't be able to run with a "Where Will Giannis Go?" story for the rest of the year into some last gasp attempts.

ESPN with the Gary Neal & Caron Butler approach witnessing, hearing about Horst extending Giannis coming on. They're salty af that they don't get to eat the Milwaukee Bucks cake & couldn't push him to South Beach or Silicon Valley.

I thought Marvin was pretty solid in a tough situation on the fly. All we need is someone who can give us 10-15 minutes of competence. He’s that.

Yeah it was a horrible argument too. No doubt sweating not having the ability to push that content anymore.

#15, plug in rather than DJ Wilson maybe. But can't ride him too much. I thought he was here & there. Maybe the bubble wasn't the best place to grasp the team, they really imploded. I'm guessing George Hill is gone in part due to that.

The national effect of Giannis signing the super max is hell likely not be covered the way he was prior. Good and bad I suppose.

Hill is gone because his salary matched, that’s it. The Bucks loved him, Giannis loved him. The dude was in Greece with the Freak not too long ago. George Hill was a positive in every way, for the team and for the community.

Exactly. Any George Hill slander should immediately be followed with a long, hard look in the mirror.

Khris isn't going to have nearly as much of a role now, is he? He was obviously the clear #2 option behind Giannis and got tons of iso touches. He'll still be a scorer, but not sure they're going to need as much of that now. I think he has the skills to be a good off-ball SF, but he has never seemed to fully embrace that and was always more comfortable emulating Paul Pierce. Bogdan is a better passer and at least equal as a shooter. Jrue is a better ball-handler and passer. They will both be featured much more on offense than Wes, Bledsoe, Hill, or DDV.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.
