He could fit as he's already a better shooter than like 2/3 of the current roster. If you can get a guy that can give you John Collins production as a 20/10 dude with a 58% FG 40% 3P on 1.4 makes and 80% at the line you take that with the 8th pick.

Don’t get the overly negative reaction to obi then I mean he has flaws like every other prospect in this draft but the reaction to that rumor seems to be like he’s terrible

He's not gonna shoot 58% if he plays the 4 next to Mitch though.

If we draft Obi and keep Mitch, Obi will mostly be on the perimeter shooting Js, not finishing at the rim off pick-and-rolls and post-ups. Unless one of them comes off the bench and Thibs staggers their minutes, which kind of defeats the purpose of drafting at 8 imo.

And not only is the 20/10 not a given (not saying you're guaranteeing it), it doesn't matter at all if it doesn't impact winning because of what happens on the other end of the floor.

Just putting things into perspective.

Says who? Pull Mitch outside and let him show off that jumper if he's got it. If he really can't shoot then maybe we need to reconsider how important he really is to the core in the first place. Maybe Mitch not being able to shoot is more of a problem than a player who can :o

Mitch just averaged the highest FG% in NBA history by finishing plays around the rim and you want him to move to the perimeter or get traded just to accommodate a prospect who's still an unknown and who has yet to play an NBA game.

If you replace Mitch with Obi at the 5, then you have a defensive liability as your last line of defense and the Knicks D will be a lay-up line. I understand your point about offense, I really do. And it's perfectly reasonable not to believe in Mitch. But let's be consistent, if you're taking Obi over Mitch (which you suggested by questioning Mitch's place on the team), you have to admit that defense doesn't matter that much to you then.

Kevin O Connor said that he heard Payton Pritchard got a promise in the late first round. I wonder if it’s us. I’d love to get him. Great combo guard to have off the bench.

Bruh you trying too hard. You wrote a pretty clear last post. Now take a look at his response and how he ignores all your points about defense. The guy don’t care. Does it on purpose.

We should trade Mitch for some more picks.

Obi will be holding down the C spot.
